Few days ago Prothom Alo published a report regarding voting of BCB president. 171member will vote for BCB President. Highest participant will be from district councils. A big number will come from Dhaka clubs.
Today Durjoy has earn the Manikgonj district representative post. Durjoy said they want more players in the Board.

Why am I not surprised? Papon is a shrewd politician and will be difficult to beat!

Rise in cricketer
councillors
More cricketers have been
nominated as councillors for the
coming elections of the
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB)
than in earlier elections, thus
taking BCB president Nazmul
Hassan Papon’s stated aim of
bringing more cricketers into
administrative positions closer to
fulfilment. . . . . . http://www.thedailystar.net/beta2/ne...r-councillors/

This is terrible. Damn it. Papon is destroying our cricket. I have never seen as despicable BCB president like him ever. He doesn't care about cricket at all. All he cares about is power, money and status. And oh yeah did I forget to mention dirty politics? **** I am so pissed off right now. I can't say how disappointed I am. Under Papon I can only see our cricket going back to the dark ages, while Zimbawe has already overtaken us, and very soon we will be overtaken by Afgahnistan.
Cricket will become just like our football where once we used to beat the likes of Nepal and Pakistan easily nowadays we struggle to beat even Bhutan.
In other words the incompetence of the board will make us have bullwhip DPl like this one and see our cricket team sit at home for more than 6 months sucking their thumbs while coaches like Saqlain are taken by New Zealand and idiot coaches like Shane jurgusen continue to be our head coach.
Show me one single positive thing Papon has done for our cricket? It's only been disgrace under him, the fiasco surrounding the T20 world up, the unnncessary temp stadium, involving players like SAkib with politics and on and on. He is single handedly destroying our cricket I am telling you guys.

Very well said. Under Papon's leadership our cricket has been going backward and it will only get worse and worse.

BCB Elections
Single panel on cards
Saber withdraws citing legal complication
Sports Reporter
The much talked about elections of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) took a new twist yesterday, the day when the nomination papers were distributed.
While incumbent BCB boss Nazmul Hassan Papon arrived at the NSC Tower flanked by his panel members and a few supporters who chanted slogans in his support, his predecessor Saber Hossain Chowdhury said in a city hotel that he was not in a position to contest the upcoming BCB elections.
With Saber’s announcement, the elections of the country’s richest sports body seems destined to be a one-sided affair, if it does at all take place as according to Saber legal complications should put a stop to the process.. . . . . . . . . . http://www.thedailystar.net/beta2/ne...anel-on-cards/

. . . . . . . . . . http://www.prothom-alo.com/sports/ar...ই_বৈধ

Councilors will elect the Directors, but not all Directors since 3 of them will come from NSC. And then 26 Directros will elect the President.
But it's all formality now as Saber is out of the race. Sad for our cricket but I think this elected board wont run for long. There are some legal issues to be seen I guess.

Lets just hope that Papon runs our cricket well. Papon is a very very smart guy, but I think he was a bit too ignorant about our cricket's condition.
I dont think Lotus in his life time would ever consider bringing ACSU to BD for investigation or show PCB their place or even think of hosting a 2nd FC tournament. But I wish Papon arranges series in the future, against Afghanistan and Ireland if necessary. We should also host Zimbabwe and thrash them at our home turf to show that we are better than them
