President Trump's CPAC speech again showed what a ghastly persona he is.

Despite being the most powerful man of earth, as the speech exposed, Trump is a constantly angry person, who is full of hate and resentment. This is also evident from him laughing very rarely. He is also very vicious and would not mind crossing any limit to harm his opponents. He is indeed a very dangerous personality. He certainly has mental issues.

What is more DEPRLORABLE than Trump's persona is how the mainstream media is covering and framing his speech. Politico has called it a 'scorched earth' speech that POTUS has found footing with after a disastrous week. Really? You couldn't find any other adjective for your headline? Other media called it a comeback speech. This type of normalization of Trump's brazenly abnormal behavior by media has brought Trump presidency in the first place, and might as well get him reelected.

In the speech, he took a dig at lawmakers of Muslim/immigration background. He did not name them, but it was clear who he was referring to:

Quote:
"Right now, we have people in Congress that hate our country. And you know that, and we can name every one of them if we want. They hate our country."
Quote:
A few sentences later, Trump made clear that he was talking about members who were not born in the U.S. “And find out, how did they do in their country?” Trump said. “Just ask ’em, how did they do? Did they do well, were they succeeding? Just ask that question.”
Quote:
"Mothers who love their daughters give them massive amounts of birth control pills because they know their daughters are going to be raped on the way up to our Southern border."
With Bernie or other somewhat progressive candidate likely getting the nomination from the democratic party, the elites in 2020 will be firmly behind Trump. This CPAC summit was a testing of massive messaging operation against democratic socialism, and based on media coverage, I feel they were partially successful.

Quote:
Given that millennials are not inclined to abhor socialism—51 percent view it positively—and the youngest people who remember the Cuban missile crisis are now in their 60s, the effectiveness of this particular attack remains to be determined. But don’t be surprised if that messaging isn’t reinforced with a little U.S. incursion into that distressed country, just in time for campaign season. If we’ve learned anything from Trump’s border-wall gambit, it’s that he’s not above using the military for domestic political purposes.

So this is where we are: The massive machinery of the Koch network, the religious right and the cash flows of the private capitalists angling for more deregulation and tax cuts are all-in behind this liar, this racist, this cheat. The messaging operation is tight. Democrats will need a strategic plan of their own to prevail in November 2020.

Possible trade war with India now? Nationalists of different stripes will inevitably have to come into conflict. In bilteral trade, both sides cannot rip each other off. One side has to concede...so it has to be either the POTUS or the PMOI.

A promiscuous president who had affairs with **** stars while his wife was pregnant and who cannot even hide his yearning to have sex with his own daughter signing holy book - seems like an act of desecration to me, but wait....white evangelicals voted in record numbers for Donald J. Trump.

Trump says he called Apple CEO 'Tim Apple' to 'save time & words'

There are two possible explanations for this blunder.

1. Trump is really DUMB. He committed this blunder due to his ignorance about how to behave like a president (and not a mob leader) and cognitive disability (which is self evident to everyone except the MAGA guys)

2. It is a demonstration of Trump's authoritarian tendency and inner insecurity. Trump feels insecure with anyone who is successful and thus hates them passionately. Berating Apple CEO by playing with his name can be interpreted as "Look, you might be Apple CEO, but I am the real boss here. I am more successful than you. I will insult you on your face, but you cannot even say anything back to me."

I am inclined to go with the second explanation, because this is not the first time:

Quote:
Trump similarly flubbed the name of Lockheed Martin CEO Marillyn Hewson last year, calling her “Marillyn Lockheed.”
What a man-child!

All of these doesn't matter. We all know (even his base) that he is dumb as a rock. But that will not change anything. He will still win in 2020 unless Deomcrats give him a good fight.

FYI, Ted Cruz went to Princeton and has a law degree from Harvard. Say whatever you want about that man, but you can't deny that you have to be more than smart to have academic credentials like that. But he doesn't seem a whole lot smarter than Trump.

Trump can connect with people and he won fair and square in 2016.

Media and liberals need to stop whining about trivial things like what he calls Tim Cook.

The problem with Cruz is not his intellect. He is an intelligent person. He is definitely more intelligent than Trump. But he is corrupt like every republican and he has some blindspots. His problems are mainly:

(1) he is deeply conservative, and unlike Trump, he believes in his conservatism (2) he is a neo con (3) like a typical politician he is sleazy and scripted - his every move is based on political calculations, which prevents him from coming across as real and genuine (4) unfortunately he has a face cutting that is oft putting according to science, and probably that is why a conspiracy theory exists if Cruz is a lizard man (I believe he is )

Actually no one is whining Trump addressing Tim Cook as Tim Apple. That is an expected behavior from Trump.

It is important to have a good understanding of Trump psychology to understand where he comes from with his attacks. This understanding is important to beat him.

And yes, Trump's main appeal is emotional appeal and emotional connection with this base. And this is simple. He is what you see him. He wears his promiscuity, bad words, racism, xenophobia on his sleeves, and does not resort to code words like his republican rivals or predecessors. And in an election where people wanted to say f*** you to establishment, electing Trump was the only way of saying it, when the other option was an establishment insider. Trump was lucky.

Here is an excellent article about Trump psychology:

Democrats Must Learn the Power of Emotional Appeal from Trump in Order to Beat Him

Jared Kushner has a degree from Harvard. Trump has an MBA from Cornell. GW Bush went to Yale. Not all Ivy Leaguers are "smart" or "intelligent". I can't see Ted Cruz getting a good enough SAT score to get into those types of schools. Certainly can't see him doing well on the LSAT with its complex logic games.

By the same token, even a janitor or a pizza delivery boy can be intellectually advanced. Degrees and alma maters are only significant if you actually earned completion/entrance on merit.

Your argument would have been valid only if you used reasonable examples. The people that you mentioned (Kushner, Trump, Bush) all came from privileged and multi millionaire families. So there’s no surprise they went to top schools.

Meanwhile Cruz’s father was a Cuban refugee. You can’t see Ted Cruz getting a “good SAT score” but he was a valedictorian in his high school. I guess his Cuban father donated to his high school.

Just cause he is a bigot and a despised human being doesn’t mean he is academically/intellectually inept.

Your mentions of Kushners and Bushes were just laughable. I suggest a quick 5 min wiki research before quoting me.

But I digress.

My point is intellectual arguments has little significance in modern day populism and politics. That’s why an established idiot like Trump owns a Harvard professor like Liz Warren repeatedly.

Let Trump and Warren discuss on real policies and constitution - Warren will destory Trump.

But voters don’t care about all that. They like a foul mouthed, off script, antics filled President who molests the American flag and request Global Warming to come back. That’s just the timeline we live in now.

Nancy Pelosi is not considering impeaching Trump, and this is the right move.

The House may impeach Trump as part of their constitutional duty, but senate will not convict Trump and remove him from office. And if that happens, Trump will not mellow down like Bill Clinton and apologize to American people. Rather, he will call it a VICTORY, and this will simply EMBOLDEN the orange monster and his MAGA supporters.

By not impeaching him, Pelosi is rightfully denying Trump a victory.

The best thing will be to decisively annihilate him in ballot box in 2020 election.

Trump is nothing the but the result of neo-liberal principles followed by US presidents since Ronald Reagan.

Being in denial of this truth will only embolden Trump, and will give rise to many more Trumps in future.

Trump has hit Biden:

Quote:
Joe Biden got tongue tied over the weekend when he was unable to properly deliver a very simple line about his decision to run for President. Get used to it, another low I.Q. individual!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 18, 2019
Just a few days ago, Biden called Pence a decent man. In return, Trump slaps Biden as a low IQ individual.

This is what pathetic IMPOTENT democrats need to understand. Republicans are not your friends or simply political opponents. They are your LITERAL ENEMY and ENEMY of the US. They are only friends with corporations. The idea that you can bend your back and compromise and reach over the isle is a failed Clintonite idea. Deluded holier than thou vapid moron like Obama adopted this approach, and Republicans slapped him left and right with eight years of most outrageous obstructionism. They even made a record by not giving a hearing and vote for Merrick Garland for almost a year.

That is why when AOC, whether you agree with her or not, fights back, it feels refreshing. If Democrats want to win, they need to fight back. Politics is a game of offense, and the moment you become defensive or go for compromise, you set yourself up for FAILURE.

There were talks in 2016 that he would put Ivanka as his running mate so that the ticket would be Trump-Trump.

DonnyTinyHands has been a spoiled brat his whole life. He never earned anything in his life. He was given everything on a golden platter by his millionaire daddy, and yet he bungled time after time, only to be rescued by his daddy. He bumbled his way to the presidency, thanks to Obama and Hillary, and the serial bungler is also bungling it.

What this spoiled brat needs is a good whipping on his back. His daddy did not give it to him. Rigged US justice system did not give it to him, despite his repeated crimes. But his time of reckoning is coming. Assuming Bernie will win the nomination, I cannot wait for the day when Bernie will finally give DonnyTinyHands the big, beautiful, tremendous, phenomenal, bigly, unbelievable, LONG OVERDUE kick on his sorry @$$ and banish this reptilian monster for once and all.

The day of reckoning has come - Mueller has submitted his report. But it will be reckoning not for Trump, but for Rachel Maddow, DNC, Hillary, John Podesta, and Roby Mook who created this hoax after their humiliating loss.

This is what happens when you do not do an honest introspection but allow a dynasty to take over: RussiaGate failure.

After the most humiliating political loss in US history, one would think that Democrats would look into the mirror to find out what caused it. They did not do it. They cheated and propelled the wrong candidate, lost, and thereafter produced a hoax. The russiagate story was similar to WMD story. As soon as you heard it, you knew it was a HOAX.

And the Mueller report has now confirmed that this was a hoax. In their vain attempt to protect Queen Hillary and their own misdeeds, Democrats have lost enormous amount of political capital. The emboldened orange menace will now forcefully brand democrats as liars and sore losers, and it will stick. This will further weaken Democrats in 2020.

Bernie has given democrats another chance at redemption. The Clintonite new democrat triangulation worked twice with two gifted politicians - Clinton and Obama, but that era is over. The era of baby boomers is over. The millennial generation prefers FDR style social democracy and policy centered, not vacuous platitude filled, politics. If Democrats stop being a Republican lite party and go back to their working class roots, they will beat Donald J. Trump and start winning again. Otherwise, their future will be like that of BNP.
