I agree with most of your people who thought on a very valid point of playing a specialist wicket keeper, atleast, in Test matches. Lets look at Srilanka Test Squad - Sangakara is playing as a batsman only because he has better things to do as batsman and NOT that he is a bad WK. Now lets take a look at the current NZ team McCalam is playing as batsmen and his keeping skills is NOT even as half BAD as Mushi's keeping skills.

I wonder why no one from the selectors have thought about it yet after 10 years of Test Cricket.....And we always get to blame the players only. Seriously guys in a test match 4 catches matter a lot.

I have no comments on who could be a better WK in test matches. But I certainly know there are choices like Dhiman, Juhurul, Shagir and few more.

Default Specialist keeper a MUST in test matches

We need specific changes to bolster both our batting and bowling.

Bowling
We bowled 170+ overs only managing 5 wickets. It basically means that we got wickets when the batsman got bored. The notion that we need our fastest bowlers playing test cricket needs to change. Today New Zealand showed that accurate and crafty Medium pacers can pick up 20 wkts too. My suggestion is to look beyond Rubel, Shafiul and Shahadat and try someone else who doesn't throw 140 k straight deliveries but actually knows how to move it off the seam or in the air.

We need bowlers who can beat the bat, fool the batsman and work on their patience by keeping the runs down by bowling in the corridor for long hours. Rubel, Shahadat, Shafiul is clearly not the solution and we have persisted with these guys simply because of their pace long enough.

Batting
Ash and Nafees destabilized the batting order. We need both of them gone for a long period of time. Nafees gets two three lives every innings but still fails to score a long innings. He refuses to learn from his mistakes (sweeping spinners off a wrong length and getting lbw). No need to say anything about Ash.

I would replace these guys with either Asif and Mominul or go with old hands like Rajin Saleh

Tamim needs to seriously figure out how to get off strike to Hafeez. He must swallow his ego and simply look to take singles off him until he is well set.

over all if we can score in the region of 300 in both innings we would be tough to beat since Pakistan score their runs slowly. We do not need 60 ball 50s but rather 170 ball 50s that Nazim got. The sooner our batsman realize that playing shots every ball will eventually cost them their wickets the better.

yea this whole series has been very dissapointing, and it's hard to keep faith when the team losses matches like this, I still can't accept the fact that we managed to lose that 3rd odi...

It would be egregiously moronic to change the winning combination now.
