Default Gayle Vs. Bangladesh

The beast has not exploded yet. I have this fear tomorrow will be his day.

What do we do? how do we manage him? what should be the strategy?

I would worry more about Hope. Gayle never been a huge threat against us.

As for Miraz, it's pretty much given that he will open against Windies lefties.

You just feel like Gayle has been building up. So far hasn't done anything special.

I don't know, everything points towards him doing some damage tomorrow. Hope I am wrong.

Pretty much, if Gayle doesn't click, game is ours from a batting point of view.

I don't rate the other batsman West Indies have, they were poor against us in Ireland.

Hope is the man , without him they would have struggled to reach 200 against us in most of the games

I don't know. Hope doesn't feel like an X factor player. Good player nonetheless.

I would say take out Gayle, and you pretty much have the game in the bag.

Gayle first ball duck.

And come back with the ball to take a five wicket haul

He is faster than Tamim, though he plays a similar role for West Indies. His role will be to create a platform for Russell and Hetmyer to explode later in the innings.

Nah, just facts.
Bangladesh have successfully kicked our behinds in the last few encounters in ODIs. I expect that to stay the same.

Last time it was 70 something vs South Africa in World Cup, we know what happened this time.

Irrelevant statistics this because BD team of 2011 was performing at a far different level to the current team. Just think about how many ODI series we won before that world cup in 2011 compared to how many we won this time before 2019 or even where we were ranked that time. Not just ODIs but compare our performance in tests as well.

If they take WI lightly just because they beat a B side a month ago minus Gayle, Hetmyer, Russel and Thomas, they are in for a big shock.

The excuses have been set already. Taunton is a small ground, getting cold after missing the SL match, and who knows what more.

They also beat the main side home and away, this is a world cup there is no way they will take WI lightly in a must win game, if they lose it will be because WI played better on the particular day
