Match Thread: Alok v Sarkar, OD2
Hello and welcome to sunny Dhaka for the second one-day match between Team Sarkar and Team Alok. The game will start in 45 minutes. Team Alok will be desperately looking for a win here today after their disappointing result in the last game. I spoke to their captain Ehsan about it yesterday...

What an exciting match I bet you're disappointed...
Yes, I am. The batting just didn't click today. I am very happy for the bowlers; they put up a real brave fight defending the mere total of 224. Next time I hope they will put up a much greater score to defend.
What things did you say to Unknown after he was unfortunately dismissed for 91?
He certainly looked disappointed. I told him not to lose his focus on the match when reaching the critical stage. His strike rate was around 68 and Habibul_fan's was around 60 aswell, so I suggested to both of them to pick up the run rate during the first ten overs without losing their wickets. We have to play as a team, so if the openers get us off to a good start then the middle order and lower order can see it off.
What was your reason for bowling Zephaniah at the death?
He was bowling pretty well; he grabbed three vital wickets of Nasif, AgentSmith and Navarene. So, me and the vice-captain Habibul_fan had discussed before putting him on. We gave him the chance to finish off the tail but unfortunately it proved rather expensive. He definitely has to work on his line and length and I hope he would be firing it in the next match. Our opening bowlers were pretty disappointed to not get any wickets, but I am hopeful they will make a difference in the next match.
Personally you had a pretty good day hitting a quickfire 14 and taking 2-30, how do you feel?
I am pretty satisfied with my bowling, batting could have been better if we had more balls remaining. With the bat I went for the kind of play that the situation demanded. I can’t really feel good about it today; the feelings would have come if we had won the match. I urge the Team Alok fans not to get disappointed, we will come back strong in the next match. We’re going to have the same batting line-up and the same positioning for the next match and I expect a decent score from the batsman.

Looking forwards to the match and especially batting. I hope we can score quickly in the early overs and surmount a decent total for our bowlers to defend. I am hoping I will be given the chance to bowl a few overs as well

Only the one change for Team Sarkar, AsifTheManRahman coming in for the suspended AgentSmith
No changes for Team Alok, SS will be playing today with a broken finger

The only change in Alok Team is that I'm coming at number 4 instead of 5.

Looking at the pitch, lots of cracks have formed from yesterday and it is expected to crack up more throughout the duration of the match. The pitch is a lot flatter than it was yesterday and it will be difficult to bat on. I wouldn't like to be batting second as the cracks are already starting to widen

I can't see the side batting second chasing anything over 220 on this pitch

Yes, you will get the chance. I would go for more spin today but I need you to prove the worth of your bowling in the first 2-3 overs if you are to continue the full quota of 10.
Btw, you can call me Ehsan. I'm one of the young member of this board, still 19 will turn to 20 this october . Ah getting old eh .

On behalf of our Cappo, I request all my team mates not to be complacent after thrashing team Alok in ODI1. Go for the win, guys!

Umpires come onto the field, followed by the Alok players and following them is Pundit and AsifTheManRahman meaning that Amit has been dropped down the order

I smell blood. Couldn't forgive myself for that disasterous last over. It was so surreal. I hope to rip them apart today. Bring them on!

maybe a few spells with our part time spinners will provide some quick wickets as I fear their batsmen really can hold on.

Conservative start by the batsmen, just getting used to the pitch
