Riad is. Shyish in test. I seen him bit better at lois lately. Then again, when there is capt and vice and Riyad is none of that, what can one expect him to be like? Tamim and Shakib play more influence. Riyad just leaves it. I'm sure if he was vice he would be more active, giving more ideas to the team.
I seen his BPL captaincy, he is so much different than the character he turns into this shy, quiet, slow paced, laid back, when he's playing in the international cricket arena,

As a senior player one has to take the initiative to lift the others up. Perhaps be a bit more positive, cheer up the others. Smile from time to time.
That is perhaps the only criticism I have regarding Riad as a leader

Taijul body language is second to none in the team. Seriously unpleasant.

Probably the least talked about player in the team. Don't think there is even a thread for him. I must say he gets some unfair criticism such as saying he only gets wickets when opposition are well ahead. There might be some element of truth to that but he was the only bowler creating pressure for the indians with his line and length and did not try to overdo and overthink things. And thats what you need to do on these sort of flat pitches. Even the great bowlers such as Herath have talked about having to bowl defensively when the situation asks for it and Taijul showed us how to do that.
He just stuck to his line and length and was going for very little runs whereas other bowlers were bowling half volley and overpitching balls. Taijul created the pressure on the other end and picked up those wickets and should have gotten more if we could field properly and had a wicket keeper with brains. Even during the England series he bowled very well with tight line and length creating pressure for the batsman which actually helped Shakib and Mehedi to pick up wickets.
When the wicket offers nothing Taijul is our best bowler imo.

The long hops and short/wide deliveries have reduced considerably. Bowled with accuracy, control. Also has the long spell mindset. So many spinners, start losing concentration after a few overs.

This guy is seriously underrated:
Quote:
Taijul has his limitations but he brings the batsman forward regularly, which allows him the chance to catch them on the hop at times. A straight run-up, a jump, and a delivery stride that's all arms and legs. Yet, he ties up one end more often than not. He is underrated, hardly ever spoken about even when he takes an ODI hat-trick on debut, but he does the job.

This guy played a HUGE supporting role yesterday partnering Shakib while Miraz was not at his best. I had my doubts but He is here to stay Alhamdulillah! very impressed with his bowling yesterday.

One of the best supporting spinner for Bangladesh.
Taijul will get better with time, hopefully new spin coach can help him.

His flight, revs were on point yesterday. Just because you have a turning track that doesn't mean everyone will know how to exploit it. he and shakib exploited it where Miraz fell a little short of his usual best.

... he is improving... and that's what I look for in our young players. His fielding was excellent he improved a lot in that aspect. he may turn out to be a decent lower end batsman over time. And of-course his bowling was more consistent than before. lets hope he progress further over time.

He bowled the most overs and had the best economy among the spinners in the first innings. However, the Mirpur pitch had plenty of help for the spinners. The spinners have to ensure that they bowl in the right areas and not give away easy runs to the batsmen.
