don't know why they kept rubel in there. if razzak plays again he better show something better otherwise we should look to give other spinners more opportunities.

I don't see other bowlers doing much better on such a flat track tbh

i meant generally. razzak played in the last test series and now this one so i assume after shakib and sohag he is the selectors pick atm, but i don't think he's shown enough to hold his spot.

Dhaka Test should have more assistance for bowlers so that'll be a better indicator

Shakib is still not ready for long overs. Very difficult to bring in new SLA. May be Enam Jr. needs another look. Raz is a liability as a fielder and batsman.

O Contraire! Razzak has now mostly adapted to game conditions and playing style of Blackcaps. I say winning combination it is minus the Rubel.

Dhaka wicket has more bounce,so ultimately it helps pacers than spinners.

I would drop Rubel for Al Amin... the worst Al Amin could do is go wicketless and leak runs which is nothing we haven't seen before

Ditto.

But I don't see that's gonna happen. Our team management have unconditional love for Rubel.

We need pitches that suit our own bowling strength. This NZ side is among the weakest of the top 8 teams that will visit us in the near future. We will not get any spin advantage against sides like Pakistan Sri Lanka, India or England. We will get blasted out by South Africa and Australia. So ideally this is our chance to prepare a crumbling pitch and push for a win using spinners. A Test match draw where we again couldn't take 20 wickets counts for very little. Our bowlers need to take 20 wkts at least at home because when we travel they are not going to get pitches to their liking.

We need to hire Guyana pitch curator (referring BD u19 vs WI u19 match)

Folks, do you think we can have a BC thread to rank the players (out of 10, higher the better) after a test or a series? Idea is to all to give their marks and reason behind these marks. Now that we have started to draw tests at home I am sure we will have some good marks.

People usually do that. In the past we've also published articles ranking them.

After the Test series you can start one and I'm sure others will chime in.

Good news IF its true. We must learn to prepare pitch that matches our strength. That will certainly give us Home side advantage. But I'll believe it when I see it.

I doubt our curator are good enough to forecast the pitch condition.
