Who will win a ICC Cricket World Cup first: Bangladesh or Afghanistan.
Title says it all, but I can see it being pointed towards Afghanistan's way, they have achieved almost everything in a very short span of years, they have defeated Bangladesh, WI away, and beaten Ireland and Zimbabwe both at home and away.
I can certainly see them becoming a next super power cricket team.
I think they will win a world cup before Bangladesh.

Bangladesh went from losing to UAE, Netherlands, Kenya level teams in 1994 to winning Tests vs AUS and ENG in 2016. Apart from ODI wins vs two defending WC champs, and two #1 ranked teams. Thats a mere 22 years.
AFG got their start in 2009. Lets see how many games they win by 2031. Fine lets make it 22 years from now or 2040. So far they have an away win vs the 9th ranked side, and have beaten ZIM a bunch of times. Woopty woop.
I think beating Ireland comes before winning the WC.

Afghanistan clearly has taken people by surprise. They have burst on to the scene with absolutely no infrastructure but raw talent. Their U 19 team in recent series was phenomenal. Bangladesh however have much longer experience of playing at this level. But I like the confidence of Afghanistan team.

No one........ Both teams will have some problems and will always miss that extra bit needed to win a world Cup.
Afghanistan may win a Asia cup before us though

Afghanistan getting a lot more A cricket than Bangladesh,They played in a tri series with S Africa A and India A,Also more of their under 19 side are coming through internationally than Bangladesh,it is a worry.
Just like NSW,who haven't produced an international in the last 3 seasons.

The reasons behind AFG success:
1. Raw talent: They have raw talent like Pakistan
2. Physique: In terms of physique, they are naturally stronger and well built
3. Pride: Traditionally 'honor' means everything to Afgan people. Hence, they hate losing, against every team, and more so against smaller teams.
But as someone said, these factors alone are not enough to win a world cup. You need proper infrastructure and professionalism, which they don't have.

PAK have been lacking in raw talent for a decade now. The best batsman they've got is Babar Azam and the best bowlers they've found in the last 10 years are Amir and Hasan. Oh I forgot Shadab who is a real find.
Thats quite paltry if you ask me.

Furqaan uncle, agey vote dau...vote dau miah, taratari!
Maruf bahia saheeb, ami achi hapnar sathe! Hmara ek team, Naw jawan Bangali team!
Yeah? Bangladesh will not win a ICC trophy? like a WC?...
Yeah, a few months ago, that Jabba the Hutt, orange toupee wearing fat Orangutan wouldn't be allowed on the lawn of the White House.
If this guy can be the el presidante of the Gringo world (aka le zoo), then BD can bring home not one, many many WCs.
I am more worried about where we are going to keep all those gold cups once they arrive in Dhaka over the next few decades.
I mean, Cup-gulo naa abar churi hoye jai!

Correct! BD selectors should follow this forum's advice, drop every senior player and make up up a team from the U-19 squad. Then BD will reach 2019 WC final at least (youngsters may not be able to take the pressure at that point).

Afghans still don't know how to hold a bat.
Remember BD U-19s used to do very well for years and it never translated to the senior side. Afghans will become a decent side, but they won't be winning any ICC tournaments in the next 20 years minimum.
If it was that easy India would win every single tournament.

Their seems a bias to play Afghanistan under 19 and Afghanistan A more than to play Bangladesh under 19 and A,as well as emerging sides.
BCB have 2 push the enveleope a little more,as well as the main side touring Ireland,Afghanistan,Zimbabwe,Holland and Scotland more.
Or risk being left behind.
The Afghanistan team is 8th in T20,and seem more suited to this game than Bangladesh, and their 4 day team has outsripped Ireland, will be interesting how they go.One Dayers seem Afghanistan's weak suit.

Afghanistan do carry lots of fire works and has special talents like spiners....even our u19 next generations fall twice in a row now ... semi and quater ...
so it will the Afghanistan who will be the first one to touch...like they always like anyway

Show me the money
Who got the most revenue for the last 6 world cups?
Australia. India.
Which names show up in the last 6 World Cup finals?
Australia. India.
How much more $$$ will bangladesh get over Afghanistan in the next 3 world cups?
DOUBLE.
Money talks. Advertisers walk. Never in the history of the game has a major title gone to a low revenue team, never will.
That’s true across most high profile sports.
