Default PROS AND CONS

Possible Pros-
- hopefully no more Reza
- BCB starts shopping for a new head coach.
- BCB replaces the whole bowling coaching
- Razzak, Riyad, Nasir, and Al Amin gets a Get better or get chucked notice.
- Faruk grows a conscience and removes himself, for good.
- We the fans put a check on our expectations.
- From now on, ANY and all wins by the associates against are should be business as usual. Seriously, who hasn't beaten us yet? Nepal only played us once so that don't count. Give 'em another game.
- we have been exposed as pretending to be a Test playing country with a Professional fake BPL.
- BD fans will stop acting like Afghan fans in the blog world and bemoan the fact that they don't pick our players in IPL. Aside from Shakib, no one should be picked for any T20 tournament. WAKE UP - is the message from our players.
- Few more

CONS
- Our cricketers, most of them, suck. We really do. It's hard to stomach it but we suck because we do this to ourselves.
- when you suck, opponents take you lightly. They'd play freely and score more runs and bowl more bouncers because they don't respect you. If you play cricket, you'll understand this. A good bowler can get away bowling bad balls because the batsmen will play with caution. A bad bowler will get plonked even if they have decent line and length.
- more pre - qualifications for us in future?
- No one directly involved with the team and management is learning from the mistakes. It's obvious.
- thr quality of the associates are improving and some of them display more cricketing IQ then our "professional" players.

Trust me, half of those Pros won't happen.

As for the Cons. Well there are always more Cons. Even in our win against Nepal, there were plenty of Cons.

Pros for Zimbabwe. They'll hope that Ireland will pull a Bangladesh (which I doubt, they are not Ametuers like us).

Just like HK beat us, we will get 4 shots a beating a proper cricket team.

we are not helping our case with ICC, the big 3 proposal is passed and if we continue to lose against associates we can kiss test cricket goodbye, we'll have test status without any tests

Realistically I see Razzak and Reza's careers coming to an end with this. Razzak will still torment us but he will be phased out gradually. Reza likely won't get another game.

But the buck stops with the players. BCB mismanagement will continue as if we won the World Cup already. That means Faruk will still be there with his BS selections. Akram was so much better.

I really hope Mushy gives up the gloves to Anamul, at least for Tests. Its a double whammy when your best batsman bats at #6 just so he can drop catches and miss certain stumpings. Even if he actually had the skills, he'd be woefully undersized at 5 foot 3 to be a decent WK.

Only other realistic thing is Mushy might step down for good this time. Maybe it is time to give Shakib another go at captaincy.

Coaches might change, but its highly unlikely to make a difference. Which is why I favor SJ sticking around rather than have another Pybus affair.

Let Sujon or Pilot coach the team, that will be better than keep wasting time with an unqualified coach.

Not Sujon. Sujon is extremely nepotic. Pilot may work.

This was good! Now they'll pull up their socks and play better cricket! We need to win at least 3 out of the 4 matches to confirm semifinals. No reason why we can't in our home conditions if we play according to our potential!

Cons The lower order batting is severely depleted and practically no firepowering all-rounder after Mushfique departs. Al-Amin, Razzaque, Rubel cannot bat to score even a single!!

Pros: Team now knows ( again ) that hari-kiri style batting isnt for T20 and what combination to use against the 'Real' teams. They have to stick to basics and let some bowlers end their quota, especially when you are 7 wickets down and 5 overs left to go.. and Al-Amin should be spanked for not listening- again, he did the same style batting he was asked not to do during the ODI debacle

even though SJ couldnt improve our seamers.... he has been a decent coach. we can see how big of a difference the change in selectors has been. I believe the Akram-Bashar-Nannu trio worked well with the coach and the captain and therefore we had a positive result more often. Now, since the begining there is already questions over communication issues between the selectors and coach/captain.

The fact that despite the horrendous batting, the team could not eke out a win from the close situation at the end of the game is a major cause of concern. How many close games have we lost this year? This can't simply be off form or captaincy issue.

With a population of over 150 million and we still cant produce 11 players who can play sensible. Shameful.

I see all the cons everything is messed up...no sugar coating and hiding will help. But when it comes to BCB, selectors and players they never will see cons ...the mental block and IQ level of these cricketers are shocking except few. I am not too sure what prompted them to play like that during batting when we are losing quick wickets. We say them in their previous batch and we continue to see them again and again. Our lower order batting and also bowling never looked in such a bad shape in recent few years. still remember even few years ago these two areas we atleast used to get something and now it's worse.
Why the selectors selecting these players again and again and even they are selecting what they are doing to improve these players?

Another pro. How many of you are actually shocked and saddened by this loss? Before you answer. Imagine if this happened before the Asia Cup loss to another associate? The teams gotten us a tad bored with their antics and we get less sickly everytime they pull one of this.

BD plays with one moto
1. if you haven't lost to asso yet you don't know cricket
and they also don't like the suspense. look at pakistan they are always on the edge when they play us, because they don't want to lose to us. where as if we have lost to all asso then we can't have any grudge on anybody and so our blood pressure will be fine...

I think if you sum it up as a whole, it's obvious our team lacks professionalism. Otherwise there is no other explanation to lose to associates so often. Teams like Australia and South Africa don't care who they play, they'll go out and get the job done. Our players on the other hand, either relax or feel the pressure too much against lesser teams and thus we end up losing. Until our guys become more professional, we'll continue to see these type of performances

Big con: this team never learns not to take any opponent lightly.

Pilot might be a much better selector. But, how do you kick out the clueless?

I am glad we are through but to be honest we NEEDED this loss we be back down to Earth.... Players attitude on the field yesterday was questionable. Even after losing 7/8 wickets from 100 they wanted to score 150. Ridiculous! Hope we learn from this?
