BD vs Ireland, 1st OD: Match Thread
should start in several hours now if there is no rain...this is gonna be a good match.
after thoroughly crushing Hong Kong even after batting poorly, we made a start to show that we do not belong in any "2nd tier." but it was just a start...we have to beat 2nd class teams by a fair margin all the time. we cannot afford to lose to 2nd rate teams...for every associate team we lose to, we have to beat 1 test nation to make up for it.
however, Ireland and Scotland are more important teams than HK. we need to win all 4 matches against them by at least 30 runs or 4-5 wickets.
There is no doubt in my mind that BD is not 2nd tier quality...but we arent at the test ranks yet....we're closer to test than 2nd tho...and inshallah in a few years we will be at the test rank.

Ahem, Hong Kong is an ACC team and Ireland+Scotland ICC Associate teams - there is a huge difference.

is there anywhere we can watch it online?
btw there's a huge gap between hong kong facing big guns for the first time in history and ireland in their own homeground with the fresh memories of beating zimbabwe, a couple of the english county teams and the WI chasing 290 odd.

I expect a win. Margin is immaterial for me. Because a win is a win.

Better go to sleep! Seems we cant even expect a win over Ireland, as others says.
Since there is a huge difference between Ireland & HK, we could be knocked out by them.
I wonder what would happened, if we lose to Ireland & Scotland...., I don't want to think about it.

How soon do they update? Is it like Cricinfo (updates every 1/2 minutes, or like BBC (updates every 15 minutes)?

We've got 3 debutants playing today. It seems Whatmore wants to see how they do first-hand WITHOUT hesitation.
