Mominul-the future successful Captain of Bangladesh
No need for your 'he cant play limited overs' crap posts. I have made this thread to dig it out after 10 years. Haters can suck it.

I wish you are right. I wish him best of luck. But the way he is failing to take advantage of the opportunity that is coming in his way, the short term future in ODI looks beaker and bleaker.
I believe he can still be an effective ODI player in long run, and I still believe in him, but don't know what is his problem in ODI and why he is failing even when he is batting early in the innings and more time to build the innings.

anything else? future PM?
I will pay both you twos return ticket from where you to BD or if you two are in BD, to go europe for holiday. If Mominul becomes a ODI captain in 5years time. deal?
Never happening. the lad is too pichhi, plus too shy, plus too quiet, look even tendulkar didnt like captaincy. I dont I want my captain to be so pichhi. Mushy is pichhi too but Mushy has pretty decent upper body build and is pretty likeable. Sorry, but the truth is Mominul wont be in the ODI side soon, let alone being captain.
In return, I want you two to supply me me with every BD series cricket jersey, and some BD Benshon , if he doesnt become the captain in 5years. DEAL? not asking much

Our little PheMominul is basically a "Flat Track Bully" who is exceptional in home condition only in test matches. Personally I don't think he will be successful in ODI format exactly like Pujara who is selected only in the longer version of the game at #3.
I would not be surprised if this PAK series is his last attempt of ODI glory ended in vain.
He is not a captains material - too shy!

Few more bad inning he would hoping not to lose his slot in the team. Forget about being captain.

100 percent agreed. Those who are talking about flat pitch bully, should see other 'true pitch" players average in flat pitch.

At least he will hold the record of being the shortest captain in cricket history

Of course he can become a good short form batsmen but the team and jostling for positions is quite strong atm and he's not keeping up with that competition.

In test I can already see that. In ODI, I am not so sure, but I'd love to be wrong on that.

Read what I wrote. Test captain.
Different captains for ODIs and Tests [like we already have now]. No reason why he can't be test captain. We have had quiet characters like Dravid and Kumble to be captains too.

Flat track bully really? Did he even get a chance to play outside the subcontinent? The only times were in Australia and West Indies. In Westindes he scored 2 half-centuries against pace and bounce. In Australia he was playing well and scored a half century in the first practice match before the coach pulled him out. And later he had to come in at number 9 and 3. You are saying those are enough of chance. Also he has a century in Srilanka although that was indeed a flat track. This kid IMO is a gem of a batsman and our second best technically sound batsman after Mushy.

Who cares if he is a bully or not, if he is then it is indeed a step up! For years we had players who couldn't even bat on a flat pitch!
