New 7 wonders of Nature: Please nominate Cox's Bazar and Sundarbon
By now we all know the name of "New 7 wonders of the world". The "New 7 wonder foundation" has started another campaign, named "New 7 wonders of Nature". You can nominate your own choices there. Can't we all try to nominate something from our own this time- Cox' s Bazar and Sundarbon? We can just spend few minutes and nominate these two Bangladesh wonders of Nature.
Here's the link: http://www.natural7wonders.com/
**Click on the Nomination link located at the upper left corner and nominate
Sunderban: Largest Mangrove forest - Category: Forest Wood
Cox's Bazar: Longest natural sea beaches - Category: Coastline **
Thanks.

I already voted for the Sundarbans and Cox's Bazar.
I have a feeling atleast one should make it to the final selection. Inshallah!

Done. Hopefully enough people will have voted to make at least one of them a nominee for this honour.

According to natural7wonders website:
NOTE: As this is the nomination phase and not yet a vote we want a wide range of sites to help create the most diverse list possible for later voting.
So, save some energy for later voting

I won't vote as I don't consider them amongst 7 wonders just because they are "Bangladeshi".

Some European nations had set up free internet booths for the whole public to show up and vote to get one of their places as a 'World Wonder'. India initiated a nation-wide campaigne to encourage everyone to vote to make Tajmahal one of the 7 new wonders. Thats how it is done in this 'promotion-freak' new culture of the current world my friend.
To promote yourself and your country is the need of the 21st century... not just stay indoors and expect others to find you.

I am not just for promoting it because it's from my country thats all. It's one thing to vote for it if you really think it is and another thing to vote for it just because it's in your country. It sort of takes the integrity of the title.
Countries with jumbo sized internet users or population can get their nominations through by sheer size.

Frankly, I dont think there is anything special about the Taj Mahal that makes it one of the seven wonders of the world. There have been other mosques/other monuments that surpass it in terms of beauty and history (hagia sophia, blue mosque, sultan ahmed mosque, anyone)? iMO, the taj mahal got in because of india's population and their efforts. This goes on to show that if enough bangladeshis try, we can get the sundorbons and/or cox's bazar on the next n7w.
And no, before others jump on me, i am not an India hater.
The others pretty much deserve it. The Statue of Christ the Redeemer is especially mesmerizing.

Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque - more so than a rather extravagant grave. But if you guys are interested I've been downloading this program: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Around_...n_80_Treasures lately and watching the eps. The presenter gets annoying at times, but otherwise the selection of places is awesome. Available at www.mvgroup.org .

Man you must be joking big time. Aside from it's history and extravagance, size and the fact that its made of marble (making it expensive as well), it has every reason be special. Hagia Sofia is no doubt on equal term in terms of it's history but doesn't overshadow Taj Mahal.
