Looks like even 200 will be hard from here. Total should be readjusted to 170-180

Well WI won after getting to 136/4 off 34 overs. In all honesty the last two wickets were given away when we only needed 8 more runs. All in all our guys can be satisfied with that performance, you lot shouldn't be too harsh on your kids because to be honest they probably haven't faced this kind of pace attack before. At u19 level we have a habit of producing these sort of attacks and i did say Joseph's name is being mentioned behind the scenes and he ended up with three wickets.
From what i saw of Bangledash's attack it was mainly spin based which is disappointing because at that level i'd have thought you'd chuck in as many pacers as possible in the hope that one gem could emerge!!..oh well one game down and six to go.

This is a very poor BD U19 team and has been for the past couple of years. It doesnt look like there is any real talent batting or bowling in this team. Other sides produced Tamims, shakibs, mushys, Nasirs, and Anamuls. This batch probably wont produce anyone good enough for the senior sides.

It's just the 1st game. I wouldn't be too critical just yet. On top of that, coach Richard said the flight was a very tough 1 which is understandable since Guyuna is on the other side of the world for the boys. Not gonna lie, if this was me, I wouldn't be able to move after such a long flight let alone play a match
Hope they bounce back next match which I'm sure they will.

Mosaddek should be able to make the national team one day. Time will tell with the others

Note the use of the pronoun "we" and not "they". No CYA here unlike some others we know of.

Tiger friends!!..what are your expectations of this series? To win it? When youngsters are facing what is likely to be the best pace attack in the next u19 world cup it's always gonna be tough whether you're Bangledash, India, England etc. Obviously it's the first game and the more they play the more they'll take to the conditions, but if they still can't handle the pace like we saw today then it's gonna be a LONG six games ahead for them.
Winning games is nice but the aim really should be to see two or three of your players stand out whether it's a batsman getting 50 or above or a bowler taking 5fer etc, really that's what i look for at the A-team and u19 levels!!..if a potential star rises up in those games then the result really doesn't matter to me.
I'm happy our boys won but more important than that was the performance of 16 year old pacer Azzari Joseph who took 3/33, while Lugg got a good 50!!..it's all about seeing who will be part of the senior team in the future for me.
But anyway like i said no need to be too harsh on your guys!!..our last batch of u19s beat Australia four times in a row (once being in their own backyard), beat the champions India, beat Pakistan and Sri-lanka etc, so it was never gonna be easy for Bangledash on this tour.

No point in doing well at home if you can't bat well outside sub-continent. The likes of Shakib, Mushy and Tamim do well at home and not away, we need to develop youngster that will perform in foreign conditions.
