Default This is not the BD team

between the period of 2006 to 2009, BD was a fearless and reckless side. they were exciting to watch, which earned them dedicated fans. what happened after that?

i think it all started when england toured bangladesh. i remember in the 2nd test (dhaka test), england needed around 200 runs in the final 2 sessions. england did it with ease, which was disappointing.

ever since that test, BD has this frustrating habit of giving up in the middle.

This is the BD team and they suck, so get over it (the denial).

LOL. No need to analyze too much. We are just not a good T20 side. We have become competitive in ODIs and we play too few tests to pass judgment.

It just wasn't the pitch for spin bowling.
Unfortunately we don't have any other option but to go with the SLA.
That's where we lost the game.

This is the real BD team. Our bowling is very one-dimensional. By now, all the big teams know whats coming. That's the reason they opened with Franklin. After one wicket, they had Oram and Vettori padded up. They were going with leftie batsmen against our SLAs.

Different formats.

Differenrt formats people. Stop creating multiple threads and slitting your wrists. We are a competitive ODI team. Period.

Yes we have prepared a lot for this tournament, but no where is it said that the preparations were a booming success. We lost against associate teams regularly. We still need to find consistent power players and players who understand that a 4 and a 6 are important as is the rotation of singles.

This team is captained by someone who averages 14 , never scored a half century and bats at number 4 in T20I. Speaks volumes of the teams quality and bench strength.

Bowling was too poor. Fielding and body language was very poor.

I don't blame the batting, except Tamim and Shakib. They should have taken the responsibility.

Don't worry even if they choose to bat first in the next match they will still remain a crappy team...

Do you really think if BD batted first they would've posted 190??? At best they would've scored 150 or so and with NZ's batting line up they would've easily chased that down.. So no need to be overly judgmental about the toss decision..

It's about manning the hell up and taking some responsibility. The coaches think our players are boys, heck, even our players think they themselves are a young developing side. For how long?

The reason for the loss is simple our batting does not suit t20. We only hav 2 players who can hit boundrys and stay in the crease for long enough (tamim and sakib) and only one lower order power hitter (zia), mash can hit big shots but he fails more then often. That is pretty much it you can't rely on any of the others to chase down a score of more then 140.
