Default Who is our Number 11?

Once upon a time not too long back, there was this bangladeshi pace bowler called Shafiul, who along with Mahmudullah gave us a memorable win against England in the 50 over world cup. The bowlers he toyed with? Swann, Anderson and their likes.

Please send him above Razzak and Sunny. Not saying he would have won it for us today but Sunny has smashed ONE six in all the T20s and List A and ODIs he has played so far.

Team think tank? Please THINK.

Number 11 ??
I'm more worried about Number 4 and 6 come this Friday.

Mushy, I'm worried, but I have faith on him that he will come good on real match.

Nasir's off form is starting to become a serious concern.
He doesn't bowl and hardly last while batting. Haven't contributed enough recently.
Last time I can think of was against the Irish when we won a game for us, but thats been couple of months now.

Against NZ, he would still be my preferred player into XI.
But if he fails, probably we will be better off considering Zunaed or Farhad.

So tempted to switch Nasir with Junaid.

Very disappointed that Mushy didnt let Ashraful, Nasir, Zia a bowl. All about making best use of your resources and expanding these resources.

Again, regardless of the middle order, 12 from 12 with 4 wickets in hand should be won. Shafiul above Sunny, Razzler.

LOL, why blame #11 when #'s 1-10 can't get the job done?

More seriously though, maybe the nature of T20s does call for better tail-end batsmen. Maybe teams will realize this and in a bid to maximize scoring, we'll see a flurry of all rounders being injected into sides in the future.

I would love to know hwo Sunny played the four dot balls. Was he beaten? Went for ugly slogs? Defended them? What exactly happened? Did Ziaur tell himm anything after first two dot balls?

And yes while I do agree that its the job of the front line batsman, the tail needs to wag to win games from such a position.

12 from 12. Any team will take that.

When he first debuted, I remember people were posting that he was sort of an all-rounder too :S

If Shafiul plays, he needs to come before Sunny and Razzak. Shafi can bat a bit and we all saw that against England. He is without doubt much better than Sunny. I don't know why the management sent Sunny before him today.

Has to be Razzak. His slot doesn't count anyway. I always think, whenever we bat, that we play 10 against 11. This guy should just walk in the field and show his face to the match officials and depart straight away. A complete moron of a player, especially when he bats.

It's the #12, who should be blamed!

I dont know about others.. but it really annoys me a lot when i see both Shafiul and Rajjak playing.. and then Raj coming out to bat befor Shafiul in a win-loss deciding situation! I simply cant stand Raj's embarrassed face and shaky moves and completely confused singles!

If I remember correctly.. there has been more than one instances when Raj's shakiness sealed all the hopes for any sort of final recovery in the 2-3 ultimate overs. Its not certain that Shafiul could've made a huge difference.. but surely he is more likely to do so.

Then why on earth does Raj always come out with bat in those circumstances??!

Cant forget.. this sweeeet memory!

Razzak is pretty poor as a batsman but what Sunny displayed against Ireland trumps even Razzak's knock against Pakistan. Sunny is probably worse than Danny Morison and should hold the no. 11 position forever
