The only two teams that India couldn't beat in this world cup are England and South Africa... isn't that funny?

So is Srilanka going to set a new trend in the World Cup final where they make it consecutive times but keep losing?

Man this is embarrassing. The presenation ceremony of the final of the World Cup and the President of our cricket board turns up wearing a t-shirt and khaki trousers whereas everyone else on the podium is immaculately dressed. Why us?!

What do we have here. Some fans of #9 side complaining unhappy with side winning world cup? You can whine all your life. We have done very well to come back from 2007 fiasco. Seriously, when sehwag called your team ordinary, I sympathized with BD. Looking back, he was gutsy to call a spade a spade.

it was between herath and randiv and randiv has had better success against India than herath. mendis was not even in the equation, he is a dudh bhat bowler to India after sehwag and co learnt to read his bowling off his hands. in the last series in India he had to be dropped in the middle of the series IIRC.

we won't have fared as badly in 2007 if not for chappel and dravid allowing him to call the shots. the itself wasn't bad by any means.

I don't see why that by itself a problem. he was wearing something comfortable but still not too flashy. IMO it's the ones in suits and ties sweating in mumbai heat who were looking like idiots.

well ,I wasn't expecting such comments from admin ,but if you think match was fixed then I can't help it .

I could have said the same after BD won against Eng(specially the way English bowlers bowled in the last overs),but I felt BD played well .

Matches aren't fixed its just pressure that lead to silly mistakes .

Weldone Indian cricket team. Weldone Dhoni. Weldone Tendu and UV. Last but not least Very well done Gary K. A total team effort.

Hats off to SL. The better team won.

Hats off to BD, Ind and SL for hosting this world cup.

Finally hats off to all the upset wins. Ire-Eng, Bd-Eng, Eng-SA, NZ-SA. Holland wasn't any slouch. They proved themselves against England although they didn't win that game.

Aah. We have a sore winner here, do we? Have you looked around and seen the plethora of genuine heartfelt congratulations (includin mine)? Being gracious in a win is even more important than being gracious in a loss.

Our team has been gracious in wins in general. But then, I have read enough India baiting here. I have been reading stuff like, "I will be happy to see any team other than India win" etc. That being the case, I see absolutely no harm in rubbing it in. The excuse for India baiting is BCCI refused to host BD in test series. That IMO is a very lame excuse, considering, BD has set world record in innings defeat with in a decade. So, it is quite appropriate to remind where BD stands. For the record, BCCI is driven by monetary consideration than promotion of the game. I don't find that terribly wrong per se, though it can be stupid at times(so can promoting the game at the expense of money making many times).
