If nothing, this is great for all the Asian sides to get exposure to the local grounds. They should have an advantage over the rest. As for BD, time to shake off a disappointing tour and start fresh. We'll miss Shakib dearly.

"Afghanistan er shathe jetar iccha asey abong onno tin dol er shathe valo khelar iccha asey"
Tranlation= we might scrap a narrow win against Afghanistan but we will most likely receive a major hammering from India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka

Why is the Asia Cup being held in BD again this year after 2012? Not that I'm complaining, it's great for us, but how's the host country selected?

Strategy is to take the pressure off from the team. If we say we will want to win all the matches then it will put pressure on them.
No one likes to lose, I am sure all the team members are willing to do well.

Indian refused to host it because they did not want to lose in front of their own crowd.

I am planning to stay away from this Asia Cup. The problem is I'll come back 5 minutes before the first match.

100 run kortey amader most times 4 ta wicket porey jai... so if we play with just six batsman at most we will score 200-240.
We need to bat deeper and have the firepower to capitalize on the batting powerplay even with 5 wickets down. We need to bat till number 7-8.

It was India's turn but they didn't host it as it is non-profitable. Most of the money from the tourney actually goes to the pocket of ACC.

Unbelievable. BCCI cares about profit so much that they don't care about home-field advantage in a semi-major tourno (major being WC's), one they were embarrassed in last time.

The problem is in India, very little attention is given to this tourno. I am not sure why ... but India didn't host Asia Cup since 1991 and in between they hosted two WCs. I am quite sure they could have if they wanted to ...

Did you not see the cartoon on cricinfo about shakib?? And here in the Caribbean west Indies and Ireland are definitely not playing.g like Bangladesh. I deliberately skip the last odi by doing my homework instead. All the talk before the Sri lankan series, the actual Sri lankan series, negative body language by.some of the senior players. I used to respect shakib as a role-model. But to gain my respect again he will do the thing that a gentleman does and prove me wrong (I actually had a dream last night about Bangladesh playing Pakistan in this Asia cup and shakib was there at.the.crease batting on.95) . I was screaming at the top.of.my lung with excitement. I.wish to see a much better performance from our tigers. Sorry zunaid brother if I offended you. Its just.my emotions getting the better out of me

Don't want to host Pakistan probably, and go through all the legal work and hassle for them to come plus elections are nearing soon for them as well.

Our emotions are our worse liabilities. We just need to get a pair and man up (and of course, refrain from showing in public that we do have a pair).
