Its the sad truth...
Unless we start winning more regularly, this is what people are going to think.

THE WRITINGS ON THE WALL FOR BD and the players can only blame themselves.
I will repeat what I said in another thread.
I think the only answer for our future is to put the players under PERFORMANCE RELATED PAY.
Despite being in the international arena for so many years now, this team is going nowhere. Day in day out, it is the same old story, thrashings after thrashings.
The suffering is becoming unbearble and something drastic needs to be done before we start to lose all our staunchest supporters, because otherwise, it wont be too long before every team will just be offering to play us only a 1 or 2 ODI matches here and there and will refuse to play test cricket with us by giving flimsy excuses.
The management should immediately put all the players on PRP and pay them the minimum wages for rubbish performances.
They should also give targets to batsmen and bowlers and the ones who carry out their duty in the correct manner should be rewarded handsomely.
This does not mean that a batsman will have to score a century or a bowler needs to get 5 wickets, but the instructions should be to play according to the match situations.
Unless this bunch of so called "talented" players are penalised severly in some ways for throwing their wickets away or bowling rubbish, they will just continue play in their usual cavalier manner and make us the laughing stock of the world

Guys dont you see what Tony actually means !!
1.He is an Englishman who hates Zim and by stacking BD with Zim he has made a barb at Zim.
2.He hates the BCCI ( and vice versa for his ICL commitments) and would love to see BD loose its Test status, thereby weakening subcontinent's vote.
Tony just cant see the English loose their hold. Its funny he talks about funds released to Zim and BD , as if the English is paying for them.
Guys Ignore this guy . He is just Toothless with soundbites.

you may be right, but unfortunately the facts prove his comment. in fact, in may ways, the zim team is more worthy of test status (we're still a superior team and by quite a margin overalll).
i am not advocating whatever he is, i want BD to keep its current status. but its time to stop acting like something we aren't, if we sincerely wish to eventually become that.
the time for tough love is now.
and JS please stop the "scared of johnson/steyn's pace" BS...it will help your plumetting credibility.

This is just nonsense rant by Tony Greig to get some attention since he and his teams are gradually becoming irrelevant in world cricket.
The future of world cricket lies within the cricket fans and as of now they are from the sub-continent, including Bangladesh!

More articles will be published to say this 'truth' unless our BD players can committ fully that they will win the matches to eliminate these negative comments. I am not sure how much BCB, our players, reserve players, pipeline players are aware of that. BCB plan's are complete failure in all these years. May be it's because of our nature.

I do really feel sorry for Zimbabwe. At least their players were not BS like ours.

It is unjust to compare BD with Zim. Zim were a very good team before the racism-quota system saga. Our current team, even the team that we had during WC 2007, is no where close to the Zimbo team of Streak-Flowers-Ervine.
And even the current feeble Zim beat WI, beat Oz in a T20 and gave a tough fight against Proteas.
