What an Over!
U MUST READ IT FROM THE BOTTOM TO ENJOY IT
0.6 Tuffey to Gilchrist, no run, left alone outside the off stump,
finally the end!
0.5 Tuffey to Gilchrist, no run, short of a good length delivery
outside the off stump, bit of away movement, Gilchrist goes after
it and gets beaten
0.4 Tuffey to Gilchrist, no run, short of a good length delivery on the
middle and off, defended on the back foot
0.3 Tuffey to Gilchrist, no run, defended to the leg side
0.3 Tuffey to Gilchrist, wide: no run, believe it or not! again way
down the leg side
0.2 Tuffey to Gilchrist, no run, on the middle and leg, played away on
the leg side
0.2 Tuffey to Gilchrist, wide: no run, the ghost is still there! way
outside the off stump on this occasion, Aleem Dar getting a real
work out here
0.1 Tuffey to Gilchrist, FOUR, finally a legal ball! good length
outside the off stump, driven away to the cover fence
0.1 Tuffey to Gilchrist, wide: no run, oh dear! another wide, again way
down the leg side, Tuffey is bowling himself into history!
0.1 Tuffey to Gilchrist, wide: no run, not a no-ball but a wide this
time, horror start
0.1 Tuffey to Gilchrist, (noball) no run, oh dear! four in a row, was
way down the leg side, would have been a wide if not a no-ball
0.1 Tuffey to Gilchrist, (noball) no run, Tuffey struggling here! good
length delivery on the middle and off, pushed to the backward
point region
0.1 Tuffey to Gilchrist, (noball) no run, again overstepping
0.1 Tuffey to Gilchrist, (noball) FOUR, in the slot outside the off
stump, driven away to the cover fence, perfect start
cricinfo commentry of NZ-AUS 3rd match. i had a good laugh reading it.

ABC Radio are covering it in Australia....maybe they're doing it internationally over the internet again. 15 runs off 1 ball, what a start

yeah, this is the longest over. but what makes the current one unique is the write up by the CI guy. apparantly, he was scared that if he writes a no/wide again, people will think he is kidding or high on something.

Sami looked shattered... lol.
I was watching the game then (BD-Pak) and at a time... I was really confused if Sami can ultimately end the over or not!!
By the way.. I think no BD bowler has a horrible record like this yet... and guess what... many of the Worst Records in cricket history r made by hugely stronger sides than BD!

all in a single over.
just read it in crapinfo .
the prolific ( ! )bowler was named Bert vance
he gave away just 77 runs on that fateful over .

Yes but i think a lot of it was done pourposly so that they got their opponent aggressive and more vurnable to getting out.

yeah- the longest over was of 22 balls- i can't recollect the bowlers name or the teams. But this was officially the longest over ever.
I heard about one final over where Jony Rhodes was batting against Snell of SA- this was probably around 1990-1992 period, where 12 runs were required off the last ball..........Snell bowled a no-ball which was hit for six and then the second time was also hit for six!
is that amazing, or is that amazing?!!!!!!

That is truly amazing.
The 77 run over is the most runs in a first class match. The test record is less.

do not forget about the india pakistan match
when india went to a tour of pakistan last year in one of the ODIs.....
It was naveed-ul-hasan Rana's ODI debut. He concede i think 20 odd runs without bowling a ball....the batsman.obviously Shewag...
guess what happened later in that game.Naveed got shewag out!!
