Curators will be in a big dilemma. Flat pitch will mean being outgunned by India, turner means Ashwin etc will threaten and if you leave grass on it - the likes of Pandya might pull a Binny

What do the well-informed fans here think about the pitch? What will it look like? I highly doubt it will be a batting track like it was against Bakistan.

BUT, cricket is a funny game! It's anybody's game given who plays best at the match day.

Will be very difficult but Tigers cam win it if they clicks in all three departments.

Good luck TIGERS
Wow. A post that is not riddled with blind fanboyism Did not know such bangla fans were also visible on the interwebs. The ones I see always seem to be scoring own by talking up their team a bit too much.

There are plenty of Bangladesh fans who would agree that India are favorites. Don't believe the crap they write about Bangladesh fans on the web, that makes us seem like the worst fans in the world. Usually done by haters of BD. Welcome to the forums

Welcome to BC. Kalpurush bhai is 100% right in his assessment about India’s superiority in skills ahead of the game. But remember, according to world best commentators, we are the most loyal fan in cricket world. We need to look at our chances and BD team will not handover anything to you without a fight.

Thanks. So what do loyal fans think the pitch will look like for this game? Or rather, what would Bangladesh want it to be like? What kind of pitch would favor the home team?

Personally, I feel a batting track is the best shot, if you give Indian bowlers any pitch assistance, then they will be too effective for you to out-match the Indian batting. But the flat track is risky too, since the batting might just blast away. The wonder-kid being injured is a tough blow, cuz he's an awkward bowler to go after.

Let's hope the umpires get their act together - been consistently bad this tournament.

I would like the pitch to be like the one vs Pakistan game. There was a bit in it for bowlers to survive but not a lot. We need pace and bounce and go with 4 pace option. Rony being the surprise for India.

Whatever the pitch is its not going to be a catwalk for India like the first game. in 2012 Asia cup final Pak were playing superb cricket throughout the tournament, Still the final was so close. We are one extremely momentum based team, With momentum in our side and the roaring crowd support it'll be a interesting final. Chances of India wining is 80% in my view but out of the 40 overs 38-39 overs will be 50-50

Request to all the fans, let's not put any pressure on the team instead, let's ask the team to express themselves. If they express themselves and go into the match we gotta show our talents instead of oh we gotta win this, it becomes a lot easier for them. So no expectation but a sense of excitement, and positive energy, the players will feed off this.

Really? Where do you usually e-hang out? On ICF?

Because when it comes to forums and CricInfo, Bangladeshi fans tend to be far better posters compared to Indian fans.

On FB, it's best to avoid both sets of mental imps, but you have us beat there too.

Lately, there hasn't been a lot of chances of scoring own goals given our performances in 2015.

Enjoy your stay here but try not sounding like most other Indian posters here. The quality of posts are higher here compared to ICF.

Agreed.

The pitch probably should be made to assist the quicks.

We stop picking up wickets after picking up 3-4 early wickets. That has to change in this game. Have to keep the pressure up.

While batting, have to be patient till the ball's shine comes off. It gets easier to bat afterwards. A lot of early wickets fell on these wickets in pretty much every game of the tournament. We seem to be in a hurry and play high-risk shots way too early in the game. In terms of shot selection and how to pace a T20 innings, our batting is still a work in progress. Sabbir and Tamim are in form. One of Mushy and Shakib needs to play well in the middle order.

Tamim
Soumya
Sabbir
Mushfiqur
Shakib
Mahmudullah
Nasir
Mashrafe
Abu
Al-Amin

I like that team. What sunny can do, Nasir can do too+ a lot more with the bat and as a fielder.

I agree with your analysis of where we can improve too. I'd like to add, we need to stop playin these sweeps, scoops etc. play more orthadox cricket shots. Most of the times they don't come out right as was evident by mushy and shakibs dismissals. Such a high risk shot. What frustrates me especially with mushy he's good enough to play orthodox shots, and get boundaries that way. Sarkar tried it a few times too.

Maybe something slow and low, its what helped us win against them last year. Though we don't have Mustafizur, we can try Rony because it seems every pacer we debut against India stars off with a bang.

My greatest concern is shakib n mushi s form. And the body language. Looks like they forget to hit boundaries.

Yah Rony the yorker specialist should be in. Can really swing the game in our favour, Indians have never played him and if it is swinging he can be effective. The whole team should be aggressive and be given the license to express themselves, specially the openers and Shabbir. We got Shakib and Mushfiqur to steady Bangladesh but the openers need to dominate the Indian bowlers so Tamim, Shoumya and Shabbir should be given the license. We got a good chance but let's not put pressure on the team and instead ask them to play freely, and show their talent now.

My wishlist:
1. Target 160
2. Play sensibly in the first 3 overs and dont give free wickets.
3. Cut down on premedidated shots, i am looking at you shakib and mushy
4. Play ashwin out and attack the rest. Use Mithun as a pinch hitter once Shabbir falls.
5. Dont drop Rohit. Dont keep soumia at slip.
6. Bring Rony in for Sunny
7. Use ryad and free up some overs

Bismillah.

Don't mean to sound harsh. But its way too early to open a match thread I'd left it a day before. Don't want to hype anything up (I don't anyway) but you will see lot's of our opposition fan's hyping up. A mean, they (ind) is fav. But not that BD can't beat them (we not only beat them last year, absolutely thumped them), so there's no question of that, is there?

InshAllah. Bangladesh will win

Though India start as favorites, this is a great opportunity for BD to win the Asia Cup. In t20, any team can emerge as winner on any particular day. I think BD has better chance to win this than in 2012.

You iced em good! And all facts too. I hate the holier than thou attitude some fans bring along with them. As a Bd fan, you expect me to remain quiet and not get pumped up and hype up my team, and in a forum that is called Bangla Cricket. Awww, hell naww!

i highly doubt management will be throwing abu haider into the deep end of an asia cup final after only playing 2 T20is against Zim (and not perfoming particularly well then either).
