Default What about JAhurul,Shahriar NAfees ?

I'm probably one of those last persons in this forum to ask for SN but looking at our pathetic batting I have no choice.
SN has played some matured cricket in BPL, very experienced , he could still fail terribly but Soumya fails everyday , so what's the loss ?

Jahurul, 40s in T20s can make a big difference , he can play big shots, runs well, decent fielder, looked good in BPL, so why not try him ? why Mithun, who is Mithun ?

We are already a pathetic T20 batting team , so these two can't make it any worse.

I say bring back Opi, Bidyuit. Shall I open a thread demanding their return or mentioning it here is enough.
Oh And I forgot. Who is Mithun and what is he doing in the team? Now I feel like a true Bangladeshi cricket fan.

Ash is prohibited, unethical, forbidden , onoitik
Kapali ? with one good innings in BPL ? no thanks.
Shamsur? too inconsistent
Ziah , misses more than connects, when he bats it looks like he is trying to kill a fly with a cricket bat.

^Kapali isn't finished yet certainly not in t20, hope he has a good bpl4 Plus the motivation he will get returning to he national side can bring good performance out of him for the national side.
Nafeez, Shamsur have better credentials to succeed at t20 than Mithun Kayes any where. Don't forget Samsur was leading runs scorer in bpl2 with a good SR.

You should pick players with better ability than sake of it. Kayes and Mithun never warrant a case for t20s. I'd take Ziaur the wild slogger least he possesses the power with the bat and with better guidence under Haturi in this format he could do well, his wicket to wicket bowling more than handy also.

But I do believe all these players need a good BPL. Next BPL will decide their fate in terms of chances of getting into the national T20i side/squad.

I'm loving the suggestions Simon.

But staying within the squad that we have, how about Nurul Hasan? The few opps he got, he did well. Plus, we are a much more confident side with him behind the stumps. Litton got such a long and fair run, despite failing. And here is Nurul, who did not even really fail, but just had very few deliveries to work with.

I still can't believe Nurul and AH Rony were not selected in the starting XI.

I'm fine with Nurul, but Nurul will most likely bat as a low order, I'm talking about how to strengthen our top/middle order by including SN & Jahu

The problem lies with our selectors. They do not seem to pick players like nafeess, jahurul. Thats just unfair. They pick a player and if they failed to perform, discard him. Once discarded its very hard to get back in the team.

I also think we need to have domestic t20 league besides bpl like Abahoni, Mohamedan

Jahuruls rotation of strike makes him 10x the player Imrul and Anamul are in short formats. Emphasising how important rotation alone is. Aumj as mentally fragile he can be looks busy from the get go and can go big.

As for the rest their simply not good enough..on par with with Mithun.

From the bowlers Sajib/Mosharof and Taijul are all ahead of Sunny.

The reason why BPL is such a flop in my book is because we havent found any exciting batsman from the tournament. Jahirul and Shahriar can contribute with their 39 ball 40s if it is a low scoring game. The thing is our current players already can play that kind of innings. What we need are power players. Big hitters with a solid technique. Nafees and Jahirul are both ODI material not t20 and they will struggle just as much as our current group

when it comes to T20, our selectors are clueless

in the past , they picked

javed omar
mehrab jr
mominul
mosaddek
kayes

all are good for test.

if we see T20 specialist, we must have to consider these guys

ashraful
kapali
mosharraf rubel
anamul
junaid siddiqui
juhurul
zia
milon

If Bangladesh don't have a good T20 cup, then they should look at replacing failing players. That would be deserved.I hoewever guess Mortaza will retire after the T20 World Cup.

Flopped big time due to the nature of the pitch, because players that could have been potential hitters, even slogging hacks, would have and failed batting on those pitches.

If we just rolled out roads, we could have at least seen which new players could have tonked the ball around comfortably, but since we didn't we will never know because we have the same old same old players in the squad. The only new face is Nurul lol.

ashraful Match fixer
kapali (worth a try but he is terribly inconsistent)
mosharraf rubel (has match fixing allegation. Arm action questionable)
anamul (selfish)
junaid siddiqui (proven failure)
juhurul (worth a try)
zia (useless slogger with no technique)
milon (another useless slogger)
The real picture ^^^

Jahurul and Litton deserve a crack and Sajib/Taijul > Sunny

Mushy is just as bad as Mithun in this format..Riyad has some muscle and can hit a few nowadays (who would have thought) Mash will retire from T20s you'd think after WT20.

What id like to see:

-Rony come in for Mash.
-Litton/Jahurul get a chance
-Mushy get dropped if he continues to be no good unless none of the players mentioned above to any better.
