Well, they have raised the level of their game a few(rather several) notches. The way Taylor and co beat up Pakistan or today's comfortable win against SA is no fluke. May be they didn't care to play so well a 2/3 months back when they played Bangladesh and India. Now the stakes are higher. They are just playing really good cricket during this tournament. Good for them.

the change in management worked for them. they did a thorough re-alignment after the sub-continent tour. people like wright have had a big impact.

Yes. I think it was Nathan MacCullum who did in the brief Q&A just before the presentation ceremony.

I expect a NO-SHOW NZ in the Semis. Trust me, they haven't changed a bit. You can't just turn things around in few weeks. This is was just on the card. NZ has to make the Semis, and SA has to chock. Now, a typical NZ Semi Final show is on the card. They will be very poor. Even when they had a strong side, they just couldn't make the final.

^ You never know dude anything can happen. I wouldn't be surprised if we end up seeing Pak Vs. Eng/NZ final.

Thi sis how NZ had been the last few world cups:

Play above their ability
Upset a supposedly bigger team
End up in the semis
Get trashed by either Pakistan or Australia

They are the classic tournament team.

WI and SF both hammered Bangladesh in Dhaka
And both WI and SF kicked out from the tournament in Dhaka
