Default BD team\'s shirt in the ICC Awards

Have any of you seen the ICC Awards (repeat, highlights or whatever)?

Inside the hall room, when everybody was wearing white shirt and black tie, Bangladesh team was in purple (BEGUNI - type) with green and black check tie.

The shirt and tie looks good when the players were wearing the black colored blazer/coat, but inside the hallroom, they were looking HORRIBLE!

It goes to say that we are the most unprofessional Board in the whole cricket world. After all, arranging for players' dresses is not the players' fault.

I've seen some of it in the Set Max - couldn't watch it all and won't be able to watch a repeat program as I'm going away from Dhaka for couple of days.

Purple and green? Perhaps they are all feminists (suffragette colours)

It is agreed by most forummers that ability of speaking english is not essential for playing cricket at the highest level, but inability to dress properly at formal occasions such as awards function is a different matter altogether. One must be dressed in the proper formal dress at such occasions whether or not one has had an english school upbringing. Even Pakistani players come properly dressed for such functions.

It is the responsibility of the respective cricket boards to ensure sartorial propriety of their players. It seems that the BD officials are as oblivious in such matters as the players. There is just no excuse for such lapses unless one is aiming for the "worst dressed team" award for the next year.

Nothing wrong with purple shirts. Infact i like purple shirt. Employees from quite a few well reputed companies are actually recommended to wear purple shirts according to dress code. I suspect colour combination of shirt, tie and coat went banana in this instance and all blames should be directed to BCB. I guess it's time to hire a 'dress-coach' !!! *sigh*

I wonder if somebody can collect a picture without the blazers, because I said - the shirts with the blazers looks just fine, its without the blazers that's what is insulting.

Rajin's tie is similar to what U19 players wore in U19 world cup opening ceremony. I did not like Rajin's trouser ..
