Oh no. you again. but with another great thread. now we all have some thing to talk about.
i never want to see javed playing in Bangladesh team. he ruins my excitement. gives me headache and tortures me with his own style of elegant batting.
And he is only 29 and he will not retire so nafees iqbal has to perform very well to replace him.
Now the answer of your question >> I hate javed's Batting.
P.S. I just hate his batting. he is a wonderful fielder and a good team man (cause he comes to the centre running faster than everybody whenever angladesh wins a match)

The purpose of this poll was not to create another "JO good / JO bad" debate. I just wanted to find out the ratio of JO fans and JO bashers. Hence no third option (actually the third option is not voting)
However, all JO fans and JO bashers are welcome to create another great "JO good / JO bad" debate

actully the question needs to be rephrased because some ppl here do not want Javed in ODI squad but I think most of them have no problem in having Omar in test (atleast I hope).
I for one think he is a much improved batsman than he used to be. I think he tries to speed things up these days but I also thought Kenya series was a good time to try out different options.

wait till my " The Myth of JO (part 2) ". I could release it by tomoorow evening. But wondering whether it would be a good idea just before an imporatant series. My heart does not want him in the best eleven but he would be a good twelve man, but my brain say that he would be in the team in the foreseeable future. So I was wondering if it is a good idea to divide the fans of Bangladesh on JO, just a day before the test.
I do not want to open a thread. So please post your comment in this thread

This thread taste very sour. The title deceives. I promise, in this forum i would never again talk about Javed Omar. Hope brother Spit, brother thebest, brother Sadi would join me. What's the benefit in discussing sour matters?

That certainly isn't a bad thing. Javed is a very valuable asset to our test side. He's certainly not the most talented cricket in the country and I'd be surprised if he hits another test century. But he does his job, our batting is far too vulnerable without him. More often than not he'll see off the opening bowlers with determination and lay the foundations of the innings. His batting suits the style that test cricket requires and it allows the likes of Ashraful and Aftab to play their natural game.
Javed mightn't be getting the results we ask of him but no-one else has done enough to warrant selection. Javed, Bashar and Mashud are priceless members of the batting lineup and around them we can build the future generation of Shariah Nafees, Aftab Ahmed, Mohammad Ashraful, Alok Kapali and whoever else is slotted in there. His experience is vital in such a young side and he's a well respected member of the team and a good fielder to boot.
I don't think he should be in the one-day side but he does bring a lot to the table and I'm not going to argue that now. In test cricket you need grafters, the type of players who will bat themselves in and build an innings. The positive batsmen such as Ashraful who will take the bowling on is all well and good but an entire batting lineup made up of them is just a disaster waiting to happen. That's why Dravid and Sehwag work so well together. Until Javed can't do his job and someone proves that they can and deserves a place in the XI then there will be no need to introduce a few opening batsman.
For those of you too lazy to read all that I'm a Javed fan
