Soumya Sarkar becomes first Bangladeshi to score List A Double Hundred
Take a bow, difficult thing to do as this is the first time ever in history of our cricket in List A

I wonder what rarbine has to say about this. Unfortunately he is banned for two months. Therefore, I appeal to the mods to unban him and let him express his feelings.

Congrats Soumya!!! Probably flat pitch and inexperienced bowlers, still a great achievement nonetheless,
I have been a big fan of Soumyas skill of being underdog beater since his u19s days (200 vs qatar)..

Smacked around your underdog heroes Pakistan to all parts of the ground for an unbeaten 127, too, if I remember correctly.

Now if he can do half of that many times in the WC, we might win it!

Don't get your hopes too high up, WC grounds won't be as small as BKSP training grounds. I would be happier had he scored few fifties on Mirpur and Fatullah.
He may get away on small Irish grounds too, like he did back in 2017. But I doubt it will be all that hard to set up the field against him on bigger grounds.

Its not about the opposition or the ground size... for players like Soumya, its all about nerve. If they walk out confident, they will take apart any bowling whether its Prime Dollessor or Pakistan and they will do it whether it is BKSP or Bristol...In a way, this innings should give some confidence to Soumya and hope he doesnt lose it before the tournament starts...

Let me help you juggle your memory - Soumya scored 61 and 87* against NZ and Ireland in Ireland tour 2017. As per your logic, he should have carried some confidence and should have done ok in CT. Nope, he scored a 28 followed by three single digit scores!
I do think ground size matters a lot. Soumya is no more a unknown quantity in international cricket, teams know very well how to set up the field against him, unless he has changed his game in recent times (which he has not, as per his last interview). His over dependency on boundaries and his lack of control over his shots most likely will continue to haunt him.
