From what I've seen of him, he does seem technically capable of surviving the heat at the top. I mean, we have guys like Kaedge and Mofees in the top order for God's sake.

With all due respect, i disagree. He got his first century against the best-bowling line up in today's time. He did what Tamim, Shakib, Mushfiq and other bunch of losers couldn't do. He showed them how to score runs in this track...BCB/selectors, please replace Kayes, Nafees with the domestic players asap.

Absolutely, but by useless I mean in terms of the outcome of the game.

i feel so proud to have witnessed it LIVE from the stadium! but the reason he scored the 4 that took him to his 100 with such was that he didn't even realise that he was about to score a 100!

I think Nasir should bat at 5, maybe push Shakib down to 6 since he has to bowl alot in all formats. keep mushy at 4, bring in Asif at 3. Don't know who will be the other opener, but it doesn't matter who you play, you can't do worse than we are now. In fact, I wouldn't mind giving Naeem another at opening, can't do worse than he is now. Or just get a flat out pinch hitter. At least we will get a boundary or two. Maybe Mash can pinch hit as the other opener. I just looked up our 2011 stats, Riyad has actually done very well this year, averaged 38 at a strike rate over 80. Keep him at 7, because hopefully Nasir, Shakib will last long to also help score runs at the end. Its probably time to drop Razzak for Nazmul, and I would keep Shafiul. He's bowled more maidens than any of our bowlers this year.
