Bhs boss Philip Green paid £60,000 for a kiss from Kate Moss - but the supermodel ended up snogging Jemima Khan instead.


The kiss was star lot in a celebrity-studded charity auction on Monday night.

Retail billionaire Green made the winning bid but at the last minute he declined the opportunity - perhaps because he was there with his wife, Tina. Instead he offered the kiss to the person he outbid, Hugh Grant's girlfriend Jemima Khan.

The two women then got stuck in, to the delight of fellow guests.

One told London's Evening Standard: "We thought it was going to be a kiss on the cheek. It lasted just over 60 seconds. A few people were shocked but everyone was laughing after."

The auction and dinner at Annabel's in central London was in aid of the Hoping Foundation for Palestinian refugee children.

A game of golf with Hugh Grant, with Khan as caddy, went for £12,000.
Other lots included a cricket lesson from Imran Khan, tea with the Archbishop of Canterbury and a children's bedtime story read by Narnia actress Tilda Swinton. In all, the auction raised more than £200,000.
Guests at the event, hosted by fashion designer Bella Freud, included Jade Jagger, Sadie Frost and Jerry Hall.

Actually, Zahid's post shows us how whimsical we can be related to religious issues. We usually see only one side of the coin without knowing much about the truth. I would say, it was a noble act from Jemima. (There is nothing bad in it, even if Jemima turned into a lesbian! She is no more an wife of Imran and it's her personal choice about decising on a partner.)

Footnote: I am probably alergic to using Urdu even after all these 54 years of language movement. So, feel really ashamed of Zahid, if he is a Bangali. But well, it's his personal choice.

I read metro too. Everything was mentioned there, the occasion, the cause and other details. Probably u have read it very fast and missed the major part of the story.
