Shakib would not have made much difference in the batting of last match because he would have played instead of Mithun who was batting until the end. Sabbir would have played for sure as he is Mashrafe's favorite. At best you could argue he might have gotten some wickets but that would still have been a loss with such a low score.

Shabbir would fail more often than not however he is a match winner. Mashrafee is right to go with Shabbir over mithun. Mithun will only guarantee "shommanjonok porajoy" everytime.

"Shommanjonok Porajoy" is a stupid concept. Rather loose by 10 wickets while going for a win than loose by 6 wickets chasing "shommanjonok porajoy".
