Bangladesh and leg spin

Now Bangladesh often being described as a side that produces mostly spinners throughout history up until recently.With this you would think Bangladesh have produced many leg spinners but the actual fact is hardly any leg spinners play in domestic matches let alone the national side. The story of leg spinners in Bangladesh is often sad, they come in bowl hope to stay for 2 matches then a couple of bad matches and they are gone then this mentality causes young bowlers to stay away from leg spin.

Arguably the most tragic of cases is Jubair Hossains case. This was a guy who was brought into the national side very quickly and was aiming high even getting Virat Kohli out.Now his last match was in october 2018 barely bowling and most likely going to a different career path or maybe turning to other forms of spin. The fact this promising youngster was discarded so quickly shows Bangladesh's attitude towards leg spinners.

The fact is BCB needs to incorporate these bowlers into domestic teams, with a t20 domestic competition starting soon make sure these bowlers are encouraged. Rishad Hossain looks promising so does minahajul abedin afrdi and others but let them flourish not discard them for giving away runs and not taking wickets.Treat them like you treat other bowlers.

Rishad offers no promise at all and I have only heard him to barely spin the ball and relies more on bounce.

Seems like with the introduction of DPL T20, the teams are more interested in playing legspinners. I hope the next edition of DPL T20 has more than just a group of 3 teams.
