He really took the attack to the Kiwis after the slow start by Bangladesh. He has been the catalyst for them in the last two matches. Based on current form,he is miles ahead of Tamim and Kayes.

Why future, he's already a sensation; hope he just grows bigger and better as a cricketer.
Hope, like SHAKIB his hunger of performing better and better, continues after achieving his stardom. Hunger for performance shouldn't convert into Biyani, like TI, Aftab

Remember the days when Tamim worked for hours in the nets, working on his leg side play? Ahh, those were the days

Hopefully LKD is like Soumya and our top order will be looking quite dangerous.

An absolute treat to the eyes; such class, much wow. This guy really counter-attacks the opposition at a different level , not blind slogging that most of our players choose, what a refreshing change! I hope he keeps working hard and focuses on small issues that he has and goes on to score big.

Liton scores quickly as well, scores a lot of boundaries so hopefully he's still capable of rotating strike.

Brilliant. Truly deserves more recognition. On paper it may seem the guy scores 20s 30s and gets himself out but in reality he is the reason the team was actually able to post respectable totals in both our last matches. He came in a pressure situation but did not let pressure settle on him. He kept the SR moving, something our openers fails to do most of the time.

Ever since his shock and sudden inclusion A teams and national team squad he seems to have started to perform a lot more consistently. We need someone in the top 3 (if not one then two) who naturally scores pretty quickly, it's somethig we've been lacking recently so it's great to see him performing with the bat up the order and he's going to be a pretty handy seamer especially in suitable conditions.

TE bhai - i really liked the metaphors you use in your post ...
The other day, one of my buddy comparing SS with aftab ... I was soo mad ... This new generations are miles ahead of Aftabs in general. I'm hopeful

Imruls and Shuvagatas spots will be under the radar.
He could be ideal #7. Along with his calmness and composure he has a healthy SR vital for that 7 position and he bowls medium pace too.

Yes, step at a time. But, Soumya can be our Test opener in not so distant future.

Is all about scoring . If you score a 100 of 100 bowls and other score 30 of 100 bowls end of the day you are the winner and people will talk about you.

Crawl: Teens Average. Can we play 50 overs?
Walk: 20s Average. We discussed how many 50s they got against Top 8. Some of you remember, right? theBest, Noc, Miraz, others??? Stats, HHS.
Jog: 30s Averages. We can win on our day!!! Arrive of the minnow bashers.
Run: 40s Averages are happening. Win some and lose some.
Sprint: when we will have 50s Average. Kick a$$!! I am waiting for this.
We are witnessing the transformation from one stage to another.
|
I would say that we are somewhere between the Jog and Run phase.

I feel Anamul would be pretty handy at #7. SS batting up the order in tests would be a treat to watch. But thats if he has a cool head. If he chases after every ball then we might have a problem...

Showed good technique as usual but, this time, made it to 50. And great counterattack.
unfortunately, thought the job was done threw his wicket away right after he got his 50. That's a big weakness that needs to be worked on. We've been seeing good technique but lack of good cricketing knowledge in our players since 2007. By now, someone should've realized this, and coaches at youth levels should've addressed the issue.
He bowled well in both games he was used in. Nice wicket to wicket bowling that saves runs but doesn't pick up wickets. Doesn't seem like someone who'll break up partnerships, but nonetheless, he's a very useful part-time bowler. Will be even more important as a bowling option in the subcontinent.

why does this kid get out to stupid dismissals!! One he edged it down legside, another time he tried to hit it for six and skied it, another one the ball brushed his glove when he tried ducking a bouncer. Even in the Zim series he dismissal was very soft as all he did is flick the ball straight to a fielder. And in the practice game against Ireland he was run out.

Lol, probably learning curb, he tried to see himself in which way he gets out easily so that in future he can avoid those mistakes. I like th kid hope he learns to rotate singles and doubles which can give him even more confidance palying any innings.

If the future is here then its not future anymore. Its very much here and now. So, are you saying Sarkar is already a sensation? Try tell that to Mufi02!

What is his best shot so far to you guys?
To me that huge six against England was so good to watch. And that gorgeous cover drive of lakmal bowl was shot of the tournament so far to me,

wait what? I never questioned this guy. I like SS. I criticized Taskin and said he is over-hyped.
