He also called Nafees as Golla one time. Cardinal crime for a commentator when he can't distinguish between a lefty and a righty.

yes that bashar guy is a newscaster (as far as I can recall) and he had to agree to each and every 'expert' comments made by hamid & alfaz...

But the most frustrating part was the interview of the BCB CEO (or whatever) in the middle of the match that lasted like 10 overs or sth...

ekhon final odi te kono minister na ashlei hoy .... oi interview start hoile ekbare prize ceremony gia thambe...

Yeah, what was that all about? Match was at a critical stage and Taklu Hamid was body massaging Mahmudur Rahman with whatever oil he had. Complete farce of commentating.

After Tikolo was out Hamid Bhai was saying উনি হিতেশ মোদীর সাথে দলকে ৭৭ রান থেকে ৭১রান পর্যন্ত টেনে এনেছেন। শালা গুনতেও জানে না।

WE may not like their commentory but most of the ordinary bangladeshi citizen appreciated it. I guess only 10% of cricket lovers in Bd can understand english, so it was great pleasure for them to have commentory in Bangla........
remember channel i, atn, ntv all are Bangla channels. So they would obviously telecast things in bangla regardless of how bad it is. They have to think abt the majority of their viewers, not only the BC members.

Well then how many in Bangladesh got the Channel I in sattelite?? Not too many. If it is a terrestrial channel then it would make a diffeence. Moreover people living in the cities got a better english now a days.

The matches were broadcasted in BTV, so most of the viewers watched BTV. Those who have satellite connection and want to watch the match without news interruptions, they watch ESPN.

The only real audience of Channel I cricket broadcast was expat Bangladeshis. If this audience didn't exist then Channel I wouldn't bother with broadcasting these matches. And they did a huge disservice to their customers by providing this kind of lousy commentary.
