With this innings today, Bashar will raise his test average by 1 more.. If he continues like this a little more time, I am sure that he can end his career with well above 40... That will be remarkable for any BD batsman..
Hats off for Bashar...

Probably Taibu's "surprise" is nothing but a weapon of words just to show that they are something to be taken care of.

No need to think about declare yet, we need to score highest innings total first.
It will be difficult to bat through the 2nd day.
So our next target should be to score 400 and then go for highest innings total.
To do that, Rajin and Aftab must have to stay on the pitch until lunch I think.
Our bowlers will do the rest I hope.
Let see how we play in 2nd day.

Tomorrow should be Bangladesh day. 15 over old ball; Flat pitch; there was no sign of turning in favor of Zimbabwean spinner. Rajin, Aftab, Masud, Rafique should add more 200+ and from Mashrafi and Taposh what they could….

i'm really happy our batsmen didn't let complacency get to them. they played the way a favorite should play, and got off to a solid start. finally our batsmen are learing to fight off pressure.

Bangladesh should not declare. We should at least cross the 400+ score that we made against India in the inaugural test.
Bad luck for Bashar. He proved again that he is THE man!
Somebody get a century tomorrow please. As a matter of fact, great chance for Rajin to notch up his maiden ton.
I will be personally very happy to see Pilot play a big innings- he deserves it.

The only possible centurion in this innings could be Rajin . Really hope so. This is far more important than Rafique or any tailenders impressing.

Long night? Good to hear that somebody is tired of long Basngladeshi bating. Let's get tired every time they go for it
Rajin continues his new found consistency. A ton is wel deserved for him. He could go even higher. Good show from Bashar too.
The pitch might not be the same from 4th day onwards. I think it will help the spinners to terrorize the batsmen. So the key would be for us to stay as much as possible in the middle from the second day on and resist the temptation to declare prematurely.
Usually our tailenders fumble when the upper orders perform. Hopefully this trend will come to an end this time around.

280/4? Sounds like big boys' score . This is brilliant! I hope Rajin gets his ton and the rest of the batsmen continue the good work of our top order.

After reading all the posts, it feels very good that BD put a good show after a long time. I hope they do it better tomorrow and somebody gets that Nissan car.
GO BD.
