‘পেশাদারি’ শব্দটা ঘরোয়া ক্রিকেটে এত দিন ছিল বায়বীয় একটা ব্যাপার। কথায় আছে, বাস্তবে নেই। তবে অবাস্তব ব্যাপারটিই এখন খানিকটা বাস্তব। মাত্র এক রাউন্ড শেষ হয়েছে। কিন্তু অনেক নতুনত্বের বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট লিগে এর মধ্যেই অনেক নতুন স্বাদ পেয়ে গেছেন ক্রিকেটাররা। ঘরোয়া ক্রিকেটে পেশাদারির ছোঁয়া অবশেষে কিছুটা হলেও লাগছে। অনেক তৃপ্তি, কিছুটা রোমাঞ্চ নিয়ে আজ চার ফ্র্যাঞ্চাইজির ক্রিকেটাররা খেলতে নামছেন দ্বিতীয় রাউন্ড।
কুয়াশা যথেষ্ট বাগড়া দিয়েছে প্রথম রাউন্ডে, তবে মাঠের ক্রিকেটে প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতা� � ঝাঁঝ ঠিকই টের পাওয়া গেছে। দুটি বিভাগ থেকে একটি দল বাছাইয়ে যে তীব্র লড়াই হয়েছে, সেই প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতা� � প্রভাব পড়েছে মাঠের ক্রিকেটে। দুটি ম্যাচই ড্র, তবে ঢাকায় শেষ মুহূর্তেও হয়েছে রোমাঞ্চকর লড়াই। আবহাওয়ার কারণে বগুড়ায় নিষ্প্রাণ ড্র হয়েছে, তবে তীব্র লড়াই হয়েছে প্রথম ইনিংসের লিড নিয়ে। শেষ পর্যন্ত প্রথম ইনিংস শেষ না হওয়ায় সমান ৩ পয়েন্ট করে পেয়েছে বিসিবি উত্তরাঞ্চল ও ইসলামী ব্যাংক পূর্বাঞ্চল। ঢাকায় প্রথম ইনিংসে এগিয়ে থাকায় ৩ পয়েন্ট পায় ওয়ালটন মধ্যাঞ্চল। প্রাইম ব্যাংক দক্ষিণাঞ্চলের জুটেছিল ১ পয়েন্ট।
আবদুর রাজ্জাকের অনুপস্থিতিতে প্রথম রাউন্ডে দক্ষিণাঞ্চলকে নেতৃত্ব দিয়েছেন ইমরুল কায়েস। দুই দলের এক হয়ে যাওয়া তো আছেই, ক্রিকেটীয় মান বাড়ার পেছনে আর্থিক ব্যাপারটাও তুলে ধরলেন বাঁহাতি ওপেনার, ‘ফ্রাঞ্চাইজিরা বেশ ভালো টাকা দিচ্ছে, কাজেই জবাবদিহির একটা ব্যাপার তো আছেই। আর সবাই জানে খারাপ করলেই বাদ পড়তে হবে, সবাই তাই খুব সিরিয়াস পারফরম্যান্স নিয়ে।’ তবে জাতীয় দলের বাইরে থাকা এই ওপেনার মুগ্ধ মাঠের বাইরের ব্যবস্থাপনায়, ‘জাতীয় লিগে অনেক সময় দেখা যায় খেলা দুই-এক রাউন্ড হয়ে যাওয়ার পর আমরা ড্রেস পাচ্ছি। যাতায়াত-ব্যবস্থা, হোটেল থেকে শুরু করে আরও অনেক ব্যাপারই অগোছালো থাকে। এখানে সেটা একদমই নেই।’ আজ অবশ্য ইমরুল নয়, মিরপুরে দক্ষিণাঞ্চলের হয়ে টস করবেন বিয়ের অনুষ্ঠান সেরে আসা রাজ্জাক।
রাজ্জাকের প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বী পূর্বাঞ্চল অধিনায়ক অলক কাপালির কণ্ঠেও একই রকম ভালো লাগা, ‘জাতীয় লিগের চেয়ে এটা পুরোপুরিই ভিন্ন অভিজ্ঞতা। যেখানে প্লেনে যাওয়া যায়, আমরা প্লেনে যাব। বাসে গেলেও সবচেয়ে ভালো বাসে। মাঠের বাইরের কোনো কিছু নিয়েই আমাদের ভাবতে হচ্ছে না। ফ্রাঞ্চাইজি সব খেয়াল রাখছে। আবার মাঠের ক্রিকেটে তারা বিন্দুমাত্র হস্তক্ষেপ করছে না। জাতীয় লিগটাও এমন হলে ভালো হতো।’ পূর্বাঞ্চলের হয়ে এ ম্যাচে খেলার কথা আছে শাহরিয়ার নাফীসের।
রাজ্জাককে পেয়েছে দক্ষিণাঞ্চল, নাফীসকে পূর্বাঞ্চল, আর মধ্যাঞ্চল হারিয়েছে মাহমুদউল্লাহকে। প্রথম রাউন্ডের হ্যামস্ট্রিংয়ে চোট তাঁকে ছিটকে দিয়েছে দুই সপ্তাহের জন্য। মধ্যাঞ্চলকে নেতৃত্ব দেবেন মোশাররফ হোসেন। জাতীয় লিগে খেলছেন প্রায় এক যুগ। কিন্তু এবার হচ্ছে নতুন অভিজ্ঞতা। ২০০৮ সালে ৩টি ওয়ানডে খেলা বাঁহাতি স্পিনার যেন আবার পাচ্ছেন আন্তর্জাতিক ক্রিকেটের স্বাদ, ‘দলে কোচ, সহকারী কোচ, ফিজিও আছে। ট্রেনার ফিল্ডিং অনুশীলন করাচ্ছেন। পোশাক-যাতায়াত, সব ধরনের সুযোগ-সুবিধা খুব ভালো। আন্তর্জাতিক ক্রিকেট খেলার সময় যেমন থাকে...। জাতীয় লিগে তো এসব ভাবতেই পারি না, নিজেদের উদ্বুদ্ধ করাই কঠিন। মেকি কোনো কিছু দিয়ে তো আসলে হয় না।’

I don't get it when you are already close to century and all these efforts to reach this far then why don't get the ton with passion..!! After all you all are professionals.

let's not be to harsh on anamul he's actually one of the few BD batsmen who does score regular tons. but there are many who don't. however with the likes of naeem, shuvagata (last season at least), mominul and marshall (this season) we are seeing more batsmen score tons more consistently.

it has many reasons:

1. We have better bowlers than Indian's have in their domestic cricket
2. Indian batsmen in domestic cricket overall much better than US.
3. The pitch's in India domestic circuit much flatter than ours
4. players both bat&bowlers much fitter physically and mentally than ours.

it could mean many things, so Its hard to answer why our can't.
