That Airplane pic with all the smoke at it's tail, is quite interesting.
I say interesting because it can be quite deceptive if someone doesn't observe it carefully.
A casual glance would indicate that the plane is about to take off and the smoke is because of the engines at full throttle.
That would sound very scary, cos jet engines normally don't give out that kind of smoke.
Then what is the smoke?
The plane is in it's landing configuration. The nose wheel is about to touch the runway. And the smoke behind is from the tires burning due to friction when the plane wheel just touches the runway.
I am sure most of you figured that out. To some who might be a bit concerned about that smoke, this should help
