BD In Talks With Sunil Joshi For Spin Coach
Well finally BCB have realized the importance of this position. Joshi might not be a big brand name, but he has a lot of coaching experience.

More than Joshi, BD needs a quality batting coach. I doubt they can get the best batting coach in the world - Pravin Amre - but someone of that quality, will make a difference for them.
If BD can improve their batting, they already have decent enough spin to contend at home against good teams. They will start winning more often than not if they can sort out their batting. And hopefully in a few years, the pace bowling will keep improving to contend away from home...

I think BCB can afford a decent batting coach. If they could afford Law and Walsh they could afford a world class batting coach too. It's just whoever Hathuru thinks is best for the team.
And I am not convinced with Joshi. His cv doesn't seem to be rich enough for an already decent subcontinental team.

Need a spin bowling coach who can also make the batsmen learn to play spin better. A good spinning coach with be able to tell the batsmen, to watch out for what and have what technique against good accurate spinners.

In case anybody wants to kickoff the usual thread in weeks and months to come, I've helped them out by crafting the title already:

I heard Joshi did some good work with one of the Ranji teams. So might be a good choice. At this point, anyone is better than Kalpage.

Coached India's Ranji champions for a while.
I personally would have taken a leg-spinner over Joshi. But Joshi has proven himself as a coach.

joshi has a 5 for 6 against RSA; his finest moment. he was also a more than decent bat who could hit the long ball.
