Sohel bhai welcome back to BC ...u r JIT before WC hope you continue your sage vision lol...I understand your backing of him, alok, rumman, Dhiman, Fazle Rabbi, Nasir, Bijauy, Shubhashish, Shaju, Noor but I have a feeling if BCB does not take proper action to make them intl match ready they will falter like all other talents of previous generation...not sure how to preserve or improve them but way too early to completely say that they are our solutions...

Sohel bhai spell his name as SHUBHAGAUTO, may be we can call him Auto in short (he is an automobile engineer after all)

All the best to Shubhagoto. I hope he does well for himself and the country.

That said, I dont think BCB ,as usual, using their head much. Why would they want to debut a player against one of the finest attacks in the world. This is not an NCL attack. Zimbabwe tour is just around the corner. Would it not have been a much better place for Shubhagoto to make his debut? Therefore, easing him into the top flight. BCB, perhaps, dont care much about these things and like to push a young player at the deep end. And, if he fails, no worries more sacrificial lambs ready to be slaughtered. They have ruined so many young careers before --Ashraful and Talha Jubair comes to mind immediately.

I hope Shubhagoto or any future debutants are given a long run and not just discarded after a few bad performances. If you cap them then you must stick with them. Again, all the best to Shubhagoto.

I've been keeping an eye on this kid (man, really) for over 2 years. I knew it was only a matter of time till he made it to the national fold. I was kinda hoping he'd debut against Zimbabwe though...

I haven't felt this way about a prospect since Tamim Iqbal. And I hear he turned out ok...

Best of Luck, Hom!

I'm excited about Shuvagoto Hom as I am with all our new players. It's important that we give this guy time and make sure that we don't beat him and curse him out if he struggles initially. We should give this guy 10-15 matches before we start to form opinions on him since it takes our players time before they reach their potential. Let's hope he's something special.

According to cricinfo he played only 10 first class matches. I hope the coach and team management will not destroy his good cricket career. He looks impressive and very promising young talent of Bangladesh cricket. Is this guy can bowl medium pace as well ? Yes he is according to cricinfo. Finally Bangladesh is going to have a geniun allrounder after Shakib who will bat well and also bowl genuine medium pace.

Well, he did make the South African academy (Not A team pacers ) pacers ordinary but I think he should have played against South Africa A team next instead of mighty Australian National team. I hope coach Siddons will not play him unless he is sure that Shuvagoto is ready to play in the international level of cricket.

Siddons on Shuvogoto

Quote:
Shuvagoto is a good player. I've only seen a little bit of him in practice over a week. When he's attacking he looks a very good player. He's got potential, so hopefully he will be ready for the competition against Australia

I'm impressed with Shuvagoto's build. The guy is pretty tall and has a strong set of arms and shoulders. Good to see that he keeps himself in good shape. Also interesting to see where Siddons would like to play him. I personally would like to see him at #4 for the series.

Holy Cow, the guy is the bangladeshi version of Terminator 2
Hope he teaches a thing or two to Tamim, if Tamim doesn't want to learn he should punch his bhuri with his "popeye the sailor" arms
