What happens if Pakistan win at Mohali?
given all the political tensions, my guess is all hell will break loose. Eden gardens 1996 will look like a toddler's tantrum.

Hmm im not sure how many are going to be able to accept that result considering India are the favourites/WC at home/its Pakistan. Whole india demands they win the cup.
Things might get really ugly.

It "may" get ugly if India collapse badly, also Mohali is not a Chennai or Bangalore. Along with Kolkata, I would assume Mohali and probably Delhi a place for potential rioting if India loses badly.
However security should be ultra tight with the number of dignitaries attending

Pakistan is not winning, they have never beaten India in world cup and it will remain that way. I am supporting India.

nothing will happen. eden happened not because sri lanka won but because people were disgusted with azhar's moronic captaincy decisions and the lack of fight from Indian batsmen barring tendulkar.

I am thinking what will happen if Pakistan lose or suffer a humiliating defeat.
Afridi to be sacked and Shoib Akhtar to be captain, Hyderabadi damand to be VC and Sania Mirza to be batting coach?

Do u guys really think india can beat pak with one bowler only?? Pak's batting is highly under rated.we have strongest and most dangerous lower middle order with razaq, afridi n umer akmal.Even without amir n asif we still are the strongest bowling attack.we have three solid bats in middle order with younis, misbah n shafiq.India will get thrashed, mark my words.

India's batting completely flopped today. and your " strongest and most dangerous lower middle order " couldn't get 261 on a flat batting wicket against one bowler ??

I think ( rather hope) that Indian Society in general has matured enough not to react "stupidly" .I am sure there would be some immature elements but in general we have moved in the right direction .
At the end of the day its just a game.
On the contrary I fear what would happen to the Pak team if they loose . Pak as a nation has been in the worst trouble ever ! When in trouble we (people of the Sub Continent ) cling on to any shred of good news .If that is shattered as well we go berserk ! An avg. guy in Pak has been inundated with problems all around .This team is the only "good news" they have for a long time. But if they falter against India I fear the Cricket team is in big trouble .

India and Pakistan have defeated each other so many times in their countries. Both the police are trained enough to handle such issues. With both the PM around there, the security is the top priority.
Remember in the game against WI we lost so badly, but even then in the stadiums crowd were very good. There is a role of the security forces in the stadium, partially if not completely to ensure this. The only risk which could not be anticipated was attack on Bus. Thankfully it was not very bad and now all the 3 countries know the risks, I believe even if India lose there will be nothing untoward.

Paki win is good for the TV viewers in Bangladesh.
We wont have to see Tendulkar selling toothpick or Dhoni trying to wipe his a** with new diper.
More importantly, sidhu would stop yelling crap.
On finals, Srilanka win is good.
