About 30 years ago, my uncle sent me a Bangla magazine (Ekushe shongkolon) from Germany (used to be called West Germany during that time) named Kalpurush with a feature article also named Kalpurush - a heroic tale of a freedom fighter in 1971.
and fall in love with Kalpurush ...

I had been a fan of Age of Empires game. The default team name was wolf pack. I changed it to War Wolf while playing the game. I persisted to that name in pretty much everywhere I need to use user name.
A friend's younger sister (from my undergraduate days in India) used to call me ShuziBuro dada. That's where it came from. I wonder how BK bhai's nickname came from. Is that the first sentence he ever uttered?

During 2007 World Cup cricket in the carribeans my childhood dear friend told me about cricinfo, to follow the match updates...then I started to search for BD cricket and found Banglacricket...I decided to join BC and thought of Bujhee Kom as my nick from old memories of Tele Samaad/Fazle Lohani's Comedies in BTV back in the 70's....I remember TV ad from then where "Asilaam Boka, Hoilaam Buddhimaan.." slogaan was big, and from all these collective thoughts "Bujhee Kom" sprung out and stuck with me...but the start was with BC and then I use it in FTP, games as well.
I do see a number of fake "Bujhee Kom"s popping out in the net, around with a variations of spelling..like Bujhi Kom etc....please do not give money to these imposters!!..just talk to them and you will know where the real deal holds....

If we don't give money to these imposters, to whom should we give the money?

I was in love with this song back in my heavy/pop-metal days during high-school. "Electric Requiem" would be too long, so I combined the two and got "Electrequiem." I used it first as my AIM screenname, and eventually started using it across the WWW.

keno jeno ami khali 'L' ta miss kori apnar nick porar shomoy !
I am not much of a net person. Out of handful of forums I visited (adsoftheworld, a rap forum and formerly cricinfo), I chanced upon BC from an article redirected from CI where I think Abu bhai mentioned 'juggernaut'. In the rap forum there was a guy with like 100 to 1 battle rec (prolly tweaked considering he was a mod too) who for his avy had an muscular anime character (someone help me out on this?) that had like a coney head which tapered at the back, pink in color and had an unmistakable swagger reminding me of Gopal Bhar, my childhood hero who could get out of any situation.
So everything 'clicked' at once and since the joker/court jester theme was popular back then, I decided upon this meme. And the rest is history...

Ah! Those old days!!
We (me and my other brothers) were allowed to watch TV only on Sundays. But, as I remember The Saint used to be telecasted on Wednesday and we often were sick only on Wednesday ....
Hot soup, gorom muri vaja + The Saint = life won't be that good ever I guess!

For a period of time during my early and mid-teens, I seriously pursued my dream of becoming a professional cricketer, before an injury of the nerves did my undoing. Chinaman was my bowling style, the left-arm unorthodox wrist spin, so when I decided to join BC, I could think of no other cricketing identity that suits me more. Little did I know that "Chinaman" was famously taken, so I had to add a letter from my name, Fahmim, to make up the username

If you take another cursory glance at the FC you shall see there is another one in the dynasty.

Members prior to 2007 used to know me as "Sydney", my first user nick here in BC.
I used to live in Sydney back in those days and hence the reference.
Then when I moved back in Bangladesh in Sept 2007, thought "Sydney" was no longer valid and it might also be misleading. But while changing nick, I wanted to keep Sydney alive within myself, a token of my appreciation of those wondering 6 years that defined who I am today. Also that was the time when I found BC which became a home away from home and integral part of my life.
Hence Rabz, short form of my name Rabiul.
A friend started to call me Rabz after a few many trial and error twisted version of my name including Raibul, Rabul, Rabil, Raul(!!) and even Red Bull by my Aussie friends and colleagues who found it hard to pronounce Rabiul.
Short and easy, Rabz really caught on and everyone I knew, both Bangladeshi and Aussies alike, were calling me Rabz. Friends, flat mate, colleagues at work, everyone. So much so, many of them dont even know that my real name was Rabiul and not Rabz.
Rabz became my de-facto name and hence the BC nick.
