Sampras just took it to another 3 gears after a few Federer errors, 5-2 sampras up in the 3rd
Federer wanted to take it easy on his hero and than his hero just took Advantage of him, now Roger comes back 5-4 on serve
Federer Wins, poor quality tennis ... 3rd set was really good. 6-3, 6-7(7-4),7-6 (8-6)

Yes, a much-hyped exhibition match going to a third set tiebreaker...who would have though about that ever happening?

I guess that engagement spurred something up that he couldn't find all these years. Still not fullfilling his promise and potential.
Funny comment from Roddick.
“I came in knowing that nobody has beaten me 12 times in a row,” Roddick told the delighted capacity crowd afterward. “So I had that on my side.”
