If BD can get anywhere near the vicinity of 200 I will be over the moon!

I note on the live scorecard they mentioned the pitch is slow..

Thats rite the pitch here in Darwin is slow thats what scaring me. 100+ will be very tough for our team against the Aussie attack.

Default 150 wud be impressive

On a slow pitch and Aussie pace attack ready for revenge I wud be happy with 150 if we can make it that far. Sumon bowled way more than he should have. I can understand him tryign to get a breakthourgh with his first spell (4-0-26-0). But if he used just other bowlers later like Ashraful or others they cudnt be worse than allowing 15 run overs.

Default Slog overs

I was surprised by how Aussie batting crumbled at the end! This is significant because, slow pitch or not, they put in 50 runs in 5 overs after 42nd and were gettign ready to post soemthing in the 270-280 range. Then Masri and Taposh finally excelled and we see 3 wkts fell for jsut 16 runs in last 3 overs! This too after 2 dropped catched earlier! Shows that we have very promising pace bowlers fighting against the world's best!

Default Got a question

Why is Ash suddenly out of the attack for a while? Why this guy Sujon is so crazy about bowling, he never gets a wicket and the only thing he proves by his bowling is that he's expensive. I think even a 14-15 year old kid can hit him for SIX. Sujon is simply useless.

Default The wits and wisdon of Khaled Mahmud

From cricinfo:
"The unfortunate bowler in the side was captain Khaled Mahmud who finished the tour wicketless with 293 runs off his bowling, 173 in Tests and 120 in ODIs. " And he is also the world record holder in test for most expensive bowling. Funny thing is, he probably cud escape all the limelight by just letting other off-form bowlers bowl a few and get whacked. They couldnt do any worse than he did .. and save him the notoriety. What an idiot

I am quite certain that Sujon will be under a lot of pressure once he gets back. He hasnt contributed a thing in batting bowling or fielding.

I quite liked the name Morx. We should have should have something for sujon as well. Any ideas??

Default Sujon and more sujon

Sujon is taking up a place that could have gone to a 3rd pacer such as Monju or Monir (or even Shanto for God's sake).

I thought he rotated well until the 38th over when he brought himself back. There was enough success to warrant keeping the lid on with the spinners - Sanwar hardly got into a rythm and Ash was untried. They could have bowled the 3-4 overs sujon did before tapash/masri returned.

there will always be dropped catches but the one by sujon in the 2nd over set the tone.

despite sujon's presence, and slow pitch or not, 254/7 is excellent and we had 2-3 bowlers who did well. why don't they play like this every day - against weker teams we could actually start winning OR at least not get thrashed.

BD 2/24 Hannan and Basher gone. Golla is doing ok, but scoring slowly. He needs a partner to score some singles and doubles.

Whats up with this. They also forgot how to run between wickets!

14.4 Harvey to Sanwar Hossain, no run, turned to square leg, they set
off for a single, they both set off for a single, Tushar
unbelieably turns back half way through, after they've already
crossed, and the two of them end up at the same end

Once again, the batting has disappointed us. This is a lost one. I will be happy if we cross 100

Sad thing is, the batting line up is set up as it should be, the team selection (except for Shujon, who could hav been RESTED) has been good.

I don't think too many people have been critical of the team selection. However, what happens on the field is beyond everyone else but those playing and they are playing llike bunch of sissies (sp).
