ehh- not much point in winning for one point. I say everyone takes a day off and send our Team C to face the Irish.

I think its more about not losing any points if we intend to catch up to WI while they are in a slump of their own.

Now additional losses to NED/SCO might just put us back in the mix with ZIM and IRE for #9

Bookmakers have clearly put Bangladesh as the favourite to win.

Current Odds -
Bangladesh 3/10
Ireland 9/4

When one team is 3/10 other team should at least be 5/1. So bookmakers are not 100% sure. They are playing a safe game. Thats it I am not placing my bet .

Default News report from Belfast Telegraph

Cricket: Ireland should follow the Tigers’ trail to beat Bangladesh

FORGET about the World Twenty20, last week’s World League Division One or even last month’s glamour one-day international against Australia, Ireland’s two games at Stormont over the next two days are their most important of the year.
Bangladesh are in town and Ireland have the Tigers in their sights as they attempt to follow them into the big time.
With a fan base of 50 million people against less than 100,000 here, Ireland have a lot of catching up to do, but the easiest way to convince the powers that be they should be getting more matches against the elite nations is to beat the teams immediately above them.

And

Cricket: White plots course for famous Ireland victory against Bangladesh

“Our conditions are key and if we can maximise the home advantage, and we saw how poorly Bangladesh bowled in similar conditions in England (on Monday), we can hit the ground running. Hopefully they will be thinking their tour is nearly over and we can come up with a couple of victories as it is crucial we show the ICC we are at that level and we can continue on the upward path.”

Is there any other news on Bangladesh team? How they reached there, where they are staying and any details on team news?

ireland cricket is improving they are well educated player unlike our bd players , most of the irish players have full time jobs and then they play cricket they do not have cricket facilities and they dont get time to practice like we do , but they have good fighting spirit which i appreciate about the IRISH cricket. They recently applied for test status.
If BD does not improve NOW!!! or take serious action we might fall behind Ireland or maybe AFGANISTAN in the later years.
