Seriously, though, any movie in which the special effects monsters appear less wooden than the human actors is not worth recommending.

Godzilla: the worst thing I've seen in a very long time. Absolutely ridiculous! Pacific Rim remains the best monster movie of recent times, not including BANGLAR KING KONG, obhiaslee ...

Just watched this Japanese movie called 'Battle Royale'. Kinda similar to Hunger Games except it makes Hunger Games look like Alice in wonderland. Highly recommend it, but if violence and gore is not your thing, avoid it.

Watching the Cumberbatch's Turing trailer made me wonder, if a movie was made about Don, who would be ideal person to play it?

And no, Dilscoop: DON'T say Shahrukh Khan!

Jadukor bhai er rating ki three and a half star theke shuru hoy naki?

Had a busy summer didn't get to watch too many movies. Recently watched transformers...thought it was alright but didn't like Mark Wahlberg's acting. Will try to catch X-Men if it's still showing at any local theaters.

From George Smiley to Gunther Bachmann.

Amazing movie: A Most Wanted Man. Classic Le Carre, and astounding performance and plot development.

RIP Philip Seymour Hoffman. He was a superb actor.

Thought transfomers was wayyyy to long, but it was alright I guess. TMNT was terrible. Godzilla was a disappointment. X-men was a meh.

Just out of curiosity, have you seen the 1979 mini-series version of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy with Alec Guiness as Smiley? I always found it much closer to the novel and far superior to the 2011 film starring Gary Oldman. There were so many subtle shades of complexities and tragedies in the plot that the short duration of the movie simply couldn't do justice to.

I have! I completely agree with your evaluation too. It conveyed a Cold War gloom but was still understated in how it described the activities of spies and counter-intelligence. I loved it.

Unfortunately, no Shaad bhai. Haven't watched it. The book, from what I remember of reading it was very nuanced and deliberative. Went through the Karla Trilogy two years back.
