good to see him back, its good for our cricket. he still have a shot in ODI and T20.now he will have to fight with Miraz

we used to have unlimited supply of spinners but now not too many..

only prominent spinners are

shakib
miraz
sohag gazi
taijul
now arafat sunny

i guess enamul JR and elias sunny are not interested for future national team or selectors are not interested in them

Arafat Sunny said that Shabbir was acting when he fell down. Are you freaking kidding me Sunny? You take a swipe at your national teammate like that??? I hope and pray you never come back to the national team, we don't need a$$holes like you in the setup. More than Shehzad this guy needs to be banned from BPL and hopefully will never play for the national team.

What if that's the truth? So does he need to lie just coz Shabbir is his national teammate.

Mufi have you seen the video? Shehzad has been banned for a match, please do some research before you throw in assumptions. The evidence is there for everyone to see.

Point is, you stick by your teammates. You cannot throw your national team's teammates like that. Nobody in Bangladesh will like that, specially Mashrafe or Haturi. In a team game what you say and do matters. Look at the implications of Amir vs Hafeez last BPL, or how long the feud between Gambhir and Kohli lasted and is still ongoing. I hope he is never picked for the national team, don't care how well he performs from now onwards. He has done the worst crime and you will be lucky to see him again in the national team because no one in the team will forgive him for what he said, trust me on this.

Shakib is the only SLA we will have in our limited overs team in the foreseeable future. We have Mash as captain along side Taskin and Mustafiz.. so along with Shak it makes 4 specialist bowling options. IF you add Arafat Sunny to that list then the tail is a bit too long for limited overs. Arafat is not bad with the bat but you need somebody of a higher caliber like Mosaddek or Nasir for that position. What we need is an Off Spinner so that we pose a threat against the left handers in the middle overs too. If Miraz improves with the bat then he can fill that gap.

What Arafat Sunny said right after this incident is "He didn't see the incident but if Shabbir was acting he can't do anything about that". He will be very very lucky to play for national team again.

yes he does. It is called being a teammate. If you can't say anything positive then don't say anything at all. Just remember how Tendulkar defended Harbhajan for the Symonds incident.

okay just saw the video. it looked deliberate from that not so clear angle. shehzad is a hack and a bully and so won't be surprised if it was done on purpose...

but I still think banning sunny from BPL and the national team for just a single comment is extreme! you can't ruin someone's career that easily.

That is never gonna happen... banning from the team over something like this is an overreaction. He needs to be told it is just not cool to throw your teammate under the bus. I am sure they can chat over this and sort it out like mature ppl

First of all, Shehzad is a feisty character and I expected no better for him, as expected got the ban.

But as for Shabbir, he overreacted I believe. He was hit with very little force. And unless it hit his groin, which didn't as seen by him walking a few paces before kneeling, he is not supposed to have any real pain there.

Many of us here have played a lot of cricket with proper cricket ball. These cricketers are used to being struck by hard objects at their torso or legs. They get regularly struck by 140KPH bouncers on their chest.

Now, if a 140KPH bouncer ever struck an average person the chest that person would have several fractured ribs, or sometimes even death.

Didnt take too long for him to be gone...

Very difficult for spinners to make a come back after action re modification. Sunny was doing ok, but i guess the desire to pick wickets, stay on top forced him to go back to old ways.

He has a good record because he chucks, its like saying Ajmal is ATG material when in reality he was a chucker and not worth being compared to Murali and Saqlain. Look at 'ATG' Ajmal now after being forced to bowl properly, doesn't even have a contract with the PCB anymore I think because he's that bad.

Razzak and Gazi weren't the same bowlers anymore after being reported and having to correct their actions same will happen with Sunny. Its better we move past it and invest in proper bowlers so we don't have to deal with issues like in the t20 wc where our bowlers got reported and it threw our whole team into chaos (don't think Taskin was one though).
