0.4 Pathan to Salman Butt, OUT: fuller this time and on the off, the
ball swings late and Butt plays at it tentatively. The ball takes
the edge and goes towards slip. Rahul Dravid dives low and takes a
sharp catch!
Pakistan 0/1, Partnership of 0
Salman Butt c Dravid b Pathan 0 (4b 0x4 0x6)
Imran Farhat 0* (0b) IK Pathan 0.4-0-0-1
India have got off to the best possible start! Pakistan have lost
their first wicket without a single run on the board!
Rahul Dravid will already be breathing easier about his decision to
field first. That is a great start for India in this decisive Test
match
Younis Khan is the new batsman
0.5 Pathan to Younis Khan, OUT: full and on the stumps, this one swings
in very late, that is a perfectly pitched delivery and it nails
Younis lbw right in front of the stumps! India are on fire!
Pakistan 0/2, Partnership of 0
Younis Khan lbw b Pathan 0 (1b 0x4 0x6)
Imran Farhat 0* (0b) IK Pathan 0.5-0-0-2
Pakistan in dire straits here at two wickets down without a run on
the board. What a start for the Indian team and Irfan Pathan, who
is on a hat-trick!
Just a bit more for the bowlers and what a difference it makes!
Mohammad Yousuf is facing the hat-trick ball
Three slips and two gullies in place
0.6 Pathan to Mohammad Yousuf, OUT: Got him! Sensational stuff at the
National Stadium! Mohammad Yousuf bowled through the gate by a
pearl of an inswinger! That one came in superbly after pitching
and shattered the stumps!
Pakistan 0/3, Partnership of 0
Mohammad Yousuf b Pathan 0 (1b 0x4 0x6)
End of over 1 (maiden) Pakistan 0/3
IK Pathan 1-1-0-3 - Pavilion End
Imran Farhat 0* (0b)

Pathan is the 2nd Indian to take hattrick.
Harbajan Singh had taken the first hattrick against Australia.

There is only one reason why I was glad at Irfans performance today. He shut up all those Pakistanis who abuse him as he is a "traitor", and a "fake Pathan".
i am glad that they will see that he is every bit as good as "real Pathans". Apparently to some pakistanis , a "fast bowler" means someone who should drink, go out with girls, use dirty words, and bowl beamers .

Now some of our former (& current) U-19 boys can say that now Pakistan national team has tasted what they had tasted a couple of years' back. (As our U-19 team - or was it our U-19 A team?; was struck by Pathan hat-trick 2 or 3 years' back).

Thats a tramendous and classical example of generalizing. You are generalizing all pakistani nation on basis of comments of those some guys whom you have met here ? - Is it allowed here coz its not a multinational forum. Or its not a big deal on this forum. Pretty sad condition ...
As far Pathan, There are so many fans of him in Pakistan. He is pathan or not is totally separate issue. I am not very sure on it BUT even if he is not pathan, then its not a big deal. seeing cricket you should only give importance to skills and performance of one, NOT HIS RACE. And to be more frank, No race greater than other one.. so no point of fighting on pathan or no pathan...
and can you please name any pakistani here, for which fast bowler is one who drinks and goes to bars !! BUT wait you wan2say that Pathan is fast bowler, lol he is medium fast buddy. His average speed in first two tests was around 130. If you want to comment on any bowler then please dont forward your comments on basis of RACE, ReleGion and Nationality. Just be healthy in your debate, put stats, collect data and put it here in support of your comment. otherwise its disgusting and useless..
Cheers..
