Default Champions Trophy held back one year, could we fit in a couple of tests against Australia?

I've just heard that the Champions Trophy has just been postponed until October 2009. This will leave 33 days of no cricket. To pass the time, I think that the BCB should ask Cricket Australia for a couple of tests during this period.

What do you think?

There is definately a window to host couple of test matches. I mean i do not see any reason y not ( except for may be the fact that CA has little time to find a sponsor).

Just my thought

boys should spend ramadan concentrating on the only thing more important than their careers and their families (their eternal souls).

a post eid test series in AUS sounds like a decent idea...but there isn't enough time, NZ come visiting soon thereafter.

well if you give the boys time-off during ramadan then they will lose their form or you think they need a break?

I don't think that giving a break in Ramadan would hurt their form. BTW, do BD players have any thing called form? (forgive me. These days there are few exceptions like Tamim, shakib, Rakib etc.)

I think they should re-schedual the 4-nation Twenty20 tournament in Canada (Pak-WI-Bdesh-Can) for September now to fill in the gap!

Couple of points.

Theres a footy player here in Sydney, name of Hasan El Masri.

He's a pretty decent footy player - bloke called Phil Gould once said 'He will kick goals, he will score tries, he should play Origin for New South Wales', and they didnt pick him, and well, *&^&*( Queenslanders.

He gets a note from his imam for when he plays through Ramadan, and thats just fine by me.

So, if the Tigers want to play through Ramadan ... I'm pretty sure Hasan El Masri's imam is the guy to talk to.

As to the general issue of playing against Australia... a bunch of years ago there were a couple of Tests where the Tiges were supposed to get smashed, and then this bloke called Steve Waugh said nice things about the fight the Tiges showed. And then it took a great innings by a fat bloke to deny the Tiges in the fourth innings in Multan.

So, yeah, to quote a taxi driver from Canberra 'I heard the score was 1 for 151 and I thought we were doing OK, and then I heard that Gillespie got the wicket'.

Champions Trophy is going to be held next year in Pak

I support no cricket in Ramadan, because the world stops spinning, when we are fasting and praying to Allah. The other teams will not get ahead by practicing during this month because it is just one month... 11 month of preparation is the same as 12 months of preparation! And, i think of myself as a very logical person and a well wisher of our team.

But seriously, I think it should be a personal decision of the players and decide if they want to play during Ramadan.
