"before coach Tony Pothan scored a quick-fire 30 not out - batting at number 10"
What type of game is this where the coach plays? Why can't we get Siddons to be like Pothan? Even at #10 he can do better than our #3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9 day-in day-out.

That reminds me of Naser Hejaji,, the Mohammedan coach/goal keeper in the late 80s.. ahh good old days.
I guess the leagues is not professional by any means,, so even if the coach or owner plays,, who cares, as longs as our players get a chance to breathe some fresh air at Gandalf's land...

This league might be very ameture, playing a test player there may be overkill and all the good performence by Rokon may mean nothing.

Afterall, Rokon was the first centurion in our FC history, that too in New Zealand. I'm sure he'll earn his money in NZ. It's really sad to reflect sometimes on the fact that these so-called one-flashy-boundary dashers couldn't do much for Bangladesh cricket.

Anybody has any idea about how much he is getting payed. I am sure he is getting paid more than what he gets to play in NCL.

good to see him scoring. doesn't matter if its a 3rd division or 4th division league. its always good to see a deshi player playing in a foreign country and scoring.

He will play in the Napier Premier League for Havlock North Cricket Club.
He will earn $1,200 per week. Which a lot of money. And thats too excludes his plane pairs and rents.
He is also going to be the coach for the kids of the club. He will get extra money for this job.
Good luck to him. Hope he can perform well.

Nothing surprising to see our players are the "youngest" in so many frontiers...
after all, they wouldnt even dream to be in national team at the age of 16-20, except one or two single individual, in any other country.
