Pathetic
The Iast time i checked the ticker said Sakib and Mushfique partnership 25 of 50 balls or something like that. We were chasing 270 and needed 123 of 60 or something like that with 6 wickets in hand. i guess its not their fault that they play for something like a draw (I think the mew mews' (tigres? hah ha) has discovered that there was another outcome in an one day match- a DRAW) , its my fault that I would spend a whole night watching the match, 20,000 stupid ppl will waste their money getting roasted under the sun in the stadium.
Whats the purpose of a ODI cricket match? You play only for win right? I am not sure our mew mews' know this.
210/5 chasing 270, just one word: pathetic! I would have taken 120/10 in 15 overs much better.

If it were 120/10 in 15 overs then u would open the same thread with a little bit of dfferent wording. Its a dilemma isn't it?

Good point, the problem is we were capable of making it happen, we have the potential to be 271 in 50 overs and 10 wickets. That's where it hurts. JS persistently (consistently?) infused this losing mentality within that we do not have match winners any more only individual performers who also cannot do their part consistently either.

I did not buy into that sissification theory before. But gradually, I am caving in. First, we saw how Riad has changed. I only considered it an aberration. But when I see Shakib, the player who almost single-handedly won a match against Sri Lanka in like 25 over or something when every one else gave up, is now giving up chase even with 5 wickets left! I didn't lose hope even after 58,78...but I am losing hope now because of this defeatist mentality. Change Siddons. First that Asia cup match and now this one. We are putting to shame the game of cricket.

Somehow, I doubt that. We would have then rued their inability to bat through an innings, their rash strokes, their inability to turn over the strike, their general incompetence....just as many people did complain after the debacle in the last match against South Africa.
As it's Bangladesh, if the team went for glory and were shot out for a 100 or so, people would be breathing down our backs for putting together another sub-par score. Now they can only berate a 'half-hearted chase' and criticize the team for not providing 'entertainment' for the audience.
Still, I do think the running between the wickets and the general lack of stamina of Tamim and Shakib is very worrying. The difference in fitness between Clarke, who scored most of his century through singles and doubles and these two was palpable.

Nope..I donot know about the others, but I would definitely liked it 120/10 in 15..it would then point to the fact that there was a chase to win the match..thats all I want. I know its the hardest thing to beat Australia but then whats the point playing in the first place if you give up?
Mind you, scoring 120/10 in 15 overs batting first and 120/10 in 15 overs chasing are different propositions.
So, there is no dilemma. No fight shown=Pathetic.

We never ever batted well one thing we did we just started to the momentum like the other teams with those small partnerships here and there ;
No idea when we will do bat well may be never or get a specialist batting coach for techniques of these players as they are good enough to perform under pressure at all ;
