Smile Puppet Iajuddin is facing Advisers' coup

At last, advisors showing something to resist this bloody puppet. I appreciate their move.

Advisor Shafiqul Haque Chowdhury said that 10 advisors would make a seperate decision if President Iajuddin Ahmed remained firm on the January 22 election.

If you only look for stability, the one who will give you stability needs to be honest and 100% partriotic.

Now even, if you ask yourself you cannot get the answer of the qustion who has those certificates of honesty & patriotism?

Currently, there are some other dictators in the world. Why don't you name them out? Because they failed to give their country prosperity and it will make your view less acceptable, won't it?

New CG has been named & curfew withdrawn. It's a very quick & prompt action taken by the president.

Default Is he a real puppet?

Speculations going on, Iajudding will resign as a president as well for the betterment of BNP. If he resigns, Speaker Jamiruddin will be the next president and if Jamiruddin becomes president, it will be a bit better situation for BNP.

SPECULATION ABOUT RESIGNATION

actually, that IS probably what we need. with an adult lliteracy in the 30's, and only around 3% of the population being rich (the rest poor, with no middle class), we can't expect a majority of our population to realize the value of democracy, or that they have certain rights which, with some care and logical thinking, can be excercised to their own benefit. heck, even the educated ones are idiots - a typical bangladeshi gathering will see the men (the more middle-aged the merrier) fighting to prove the superiority of one party over the other.

more kids will be born due to protection being too expensive or low quality (easily chire jaay), almost none of them will go to school, remain illiterate, and then when their local MP's - after 5 years of stealing all that is theirs (the commoners') - cry and beg come poll-time, will melt like meat that has been cooked thrice. and this will go on and on forever.

a famous tool for many a BC member when it comes to political discussions is the saying "we, the people are responsible for what we're getting today". i agree. i don't think we deserve democracy, especially when most of the population don't even know what the hell it means. besides, the problem is at the root anyways: a kid grows up knowing that he has to steal to survive. the problem lies in the attitude of our people. it lies in the very environment that a kid grows up in to become the kind of person that he always will be. noone is honest.

under such circumstances, i wouldn't mind dictatorship. we have two options:

1. communism like china, which will ensure a more equitable distribution of wealth. when things get better, we can slowly go back to democracy. however, this might require some honest men in the government.

2. a corrupt dictator, who will rule with an iron fist, and beat the crap out of anyone showing any signs of hanky panky. i think we need some punishment - will teach us how to behave. rastar moddhe ekta gari ekta riksha ke lagay dilei 50 jon eshe ekjon ke dhore pitanor kichu nai. finally, when things get under control, we can shoot the dictator in the head and go back to democracy. sure, the assassination will cause some havoc, but after a decade of dictatorship, i'm sure it won't be as bad as shooting the PM today.
