Noam Chomsky is spot on as always:

Quote:
Trying to deduce any kind of grand strategy from a president who confuses the West with California and believes the moon is part of Mars can feel like a fool’s errand, if not “the purest acid satire.” But as Noam Chomsky argues in an interview with Truthout this week, “there is a strategy”—one that has empowered the far right across the globe and ultimately endangers human life on earth. If Ronald Reagan’s presidency was a tragedy, he speculates, then Trump’s is history repeating itself as farce.

“It’s understandable that the farce elicits ridicule, and no doubt some are relishing the coming photo-op of Trump and Boris Johnson upholding Anglo-American civilization,” claims the celebrated linguist and philosopher. “But for the world, it’s dead serious, from the destruction of the environment and the growing threats of terminal nuclear war to a long list of other crimes and horrors.”

Fascist in Chief

So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly……
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 14, 2019

….and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how….

BTW, Trump is ramping up his demagoguery so that people and media have no breathing room to talk about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Trump knows how to play the media. He is a master of drowning you out in white noise.

The recent Mueller testimony, to borrow Trump's words, was a TOTAL DISASTER and DISGRACE, and a big, beautiful, tremendous WIN and a re-election gift for Donald J. Trump

In my life, I hate people who position themselves on the middle to evade responsibility. I hate with passion who play football and pass the ball and dodge when the time and situation demands a quick decisive decision. I face similar situation in my office everyday, where people paid to make decision dodge their duty and keep issues dragging instead of killing it.

Bob Mueller was given a task of enormous importance. He was entrusted to make a decision. He was given all the resources. He needed to be clear with his conclusion. But he did not come clean. It was a conscious decision on his part. Even if I accede that a sitting president cannot be indicted, no one is asking Mueller to indict Trump. But as part of his conclusion, he can definitely say this: Based on my finding, I ask Congress to impeach the president (or otherwise).

He did not do that. He instead came up with a report and a testimony where both parties can claim victory.

Bob Mueller is a DISGRACE. He was a disgrace to begin with, because he lied to American public and facilitated the Bush administration to start the illegal war in Iraq.

To Democrats: Russiagate was a Podesta-Clinton concocted lie to begin with, but even if I overlook that fact, the onus of Russiagate falls on the shoulder of Democrats and not Trump. Because 2016 election was conducted and overseen under Obama - a democratic administration. If Russia has intervened in the election, the blame should squarely be on Obama and his administration, and NOT on Trump.

A great interview: A professor discusses how Trump uses scandal fatigue to violate all norms and ethics. He also discusses the long term effects of Trumpism on domestic and foreign policies.

As if recent Mueller testimony was not enough humiliation for the democrats and the security state, the court handed another victory to Trump by correctly dismissing DNC lawsuit about Russian interference.

https://www.politico.com/story/2019/...l-hack-1441166

The Commander in Tweet wasted no time to seize the moment and gloat about it in twitter:

Quote:
“Wow! A federal Judge in the Southern District of N.Y. completely dismissed a lawsuit brought by the Democratic National Committee against our historic 2016 campaign for President,” he tweeted. “The Judge said the DNC case was ‘entirely divorced‘ from the facts, yet another total & complete.....vindication & exoneration from the Russian, WikiLeaks and every other form of HOAX perpetrated by the DNC, Radical Democrats and others. This is really big 'stuff' especially coming from a highly respected judge who was appointed by President Clinton. The Witch Hunt Ends!“

Trump advised his daughter Ivanka to make and release a sex tape so that she could make more money of her brand

Quote:
According to a profile of Ivanka Trump in New York Magazine, Donald Trump actually tried to get his daughter to release a sex tape after Paris Hilton’s tape was released. He believed that it would be a huge money maker and that it would boost her profile, even if it came at the expense of her dignity. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains what this tells us about Trump’s relationship with his daughter.

ToBeFair, apnar jonmo ki Americay ?
Trump key eto oposondo koren ken ? We , who live outside the US, thinks he is a decent guy - not perfect but ok. He's the only US president who hasn't started war somewhere in the world. Even everyone's beloved Obama raged war in Libya!

What Trump instead does is threaten countries like Iran and N Korea so that they pipe down.

So Kamal Harris owns a gun for her protection. But she wants to ban guns? What a fraud.

As a procecutor she was ruthless against drug users, but now to get popular she says she smokrd drugs ...and as a Jamaican it's pretty common to smoke weed. What a big time fraud...

She is in the lime light out because she is a woman with dark skin color.

How pathetic it is....

Jeffrey Epstein, who used to supply underage girls to powerful elites like Donald Trump and Bill Clinton, suddenly commits suicide inside a prison cell.

He was under suicide watch. And on top of that, it is almost impossible to commit suicide inside a prion cell. Yet, he found a way to hang himself

Epstein undergoing trial would have unearthed many dirty secrets about the Clintons and the Trumps and others in their rank. So, coincidentally he commits suicide at a very convenient time. Can it get anymore brazen than this?

BTW, another JFK style investigation coming up

Trump's trade war brilliantly explained in this article

Quote:
America’s chief competitor in the trade war is obviously China, which subsidizes not just worker costs but the costs of its businesses. The government owns 80% of the banks, which make loans on favorable terms to domestic businesses, especially state-owned businesses. If the businesses cannot repay the loans, neither the banks nor the businesses are typically put into bankruptcy, since that would mean losing jobs and factories. The nonperforming loans are just carried on the books or written off. No private creditors are hurt, since the creditor is the government and the loans were created on the banks’ books in the first place (following standard banking practice globally).

.
.
.

China thinks this is a better banking model than the private Western system focused on short-term profits for private shareholders. But U.S. policymakers consider China’s subsidies to its businesses and workers to be “unfair trade practices.” They want China to forgo state subsidization and its other protectionist policies in order to level the playing field. But Beijing contends that the demanded reforms amount to “economic regime change.” As Hudson puts it: “This is the fight that Trump has against China. He wants to tell it to let the banks run China and have a free market. He says that China has grown rich over the last fifty years by unfair means, with government help and public enterprise. In effect, he wants the Chinese to be as threatened and insecure as American workers. They should get rid of their public transportation. They should get rid of their subsidies. They should let a lot of their companies go bankrupt so that Americans can buy them. They should have the same kind of free market that has wrecked the US economy. [Emphasis added.]”

.
.
.

To understand what is happening here, it is useful to review some history. The free market model hollowed out America’s manufacturing base beginning in the Thatcher/Reagan era of the 1970s and ’80s, when neoliberal economic policies took hold. Meanwhile, emerging Asian economies, led by Japan, were exploding on the scene with a new economic model called “state-guided market capitalism.” The state determined the priorities and commissioned the work, then hired private enterprise to carry it out. The model overcame the defects of the communist system, which put ownership and control in the hands of the state.

The Japanese state-guided market system was effective and efficient—so effective that it was regarded as an existential threat to the neoliberal model of debt-based money and “free markets” promoted by the International Monetary Fund (IMF). According to author William Engdahl in “A Century of War,” by the end of the 1980s, Japan was considered the leading economic and banking power in the world. Its state-guided model was also proving to be highly successful in South Korea and the other “Asian Tiger” economies. When the Soviet Union collapsed at the end of the Cold War, Japan proposed its model to the former communist countries, and many began looking to it and to South Korea’s example as viable alternatives to the U.S. free-market system. State-guided capitalism provided for the general welfare without destroying capitalist incentive.

.
.
.

Just as the U.S. had engaged in a Cold War to destroy the Soviet communist model, so Western financial interests set out to destroy this emerging Asian threat. It was defused when Western neoliberal economists persuaded Japan and the Asian Tigers to adopt a free-market system and open their economies and companies to foreign investors. Western speculators then took down the vulnerable countries one by one in the “Asian crisis” of 1997-8. China alone was left as an economic threat to the Western neoliberal model, and it is this existential threat that is the target of the trade and currency wars today.

.
.
.

The implication is that China, being too strong to be knocked out of the game as the Soviet Union was, needs to be coerced or cajoled into adopting the neoliberal model and abandoning state support of its industries and ownership of its banks. But the Chinese system, while obviously not perfect, has an impressive track record for sustaining long-term growth and development. While the U.S. manufacturing base was being hollowed out under the free-market model, China was systematically building up its own manufacturing base and investing heavily in infrastructure and emerging technologies, and it was doing this with credit generated by its state-owned banks. Rather than trying to destroy China’s economic system, it might be more “favorable to U.S. interests and values” for us to adopt its more effective industrial and banking practices.

Why stopping at these two names.... few more names already came up former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson (D) and former Sen. George Mitchell (D-Maine) from the accuser. And also Bill Gate's name came up.

There quite a few big shot's name (with clean public image.... polical and non-political) was about to come up in the trial. May be they should be the prime suspect. Now the case will be dropped (as he is dead) and those name never come to public. Those unknown names (that would come up in the news later at some point) are the prime beneficiary of this suicide.

Epstein had lots of money and he was a democrat (and serious Obama Supporter) and donated a lot of high provide democrats... not one or two... many.

btw there is another gay Billionaire in CA (Ed Buck) , who also a huge Democrat Donar, two gay (prostitutes) died in his house due to "drug overdose" within years and nothing really happened to him (so far).... he is not implicating Trump.... so it is not getting any highlight in the news link

These kind of scumbags are being tolerated by the two parties because they provide the money to the parties.... they only come up for wrong reasons.... to take an upper-hand to the opponent only for political reason..... not for moral reason.

Harvey Weinstein (another Democrat donor and supporter) got away with so long because of his political connection, has nothing to do with Trump the politician.

Michael Jackson is another scumbag got away with child abuse (sexual abuse).

^^ You are correct -- so many high profile names are connected with Jeff Epstein, both political and apolitical. Example: Physicist Laurence Krauss.

As you used to say: sujoger ovabe majority are choritrobaan

BTW, the killing of Epstein is truly bipartisan - in fact this is the epitome of bipartisanship in Washington.

I also suspect the same. Epstein used them, they used him. Now that he is a damaged good and may hurt their reputation.... they cut the loss before more damage is done to their "good" image.

Trump is now hammering Clinton with Jeff Epstein

Quote:
“I know he was on his plane 27 times, and he said he was on the plane four times,” Trump said. “But when they checked the plane logs, Bill Clinton — who was a very good friend of Epstein — he was on the plane about 27 or 28 times. So why did he say four times?”

“The question you have to ask is, did Bill Clinton go to the island? Because Epstein had an island. That was not a good place, as I understand it, and I was never there,” Trump said Tuesday. “So you have to ask, did Bill Clinton go to the island? That’s the question. If you find that out, you’re going to know a lot.”
Clinton responded in Clintonian "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" way

Quote:
“President Clinton knows nothing about the terrible crimes Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty to in Florida some years ago, or those with which he has been recently charged in New York,” Clinton spokesman Angel Ureña said last month. "He’s not spoken to Epstein in well over a decade, and has never been to Little St. James Island, Epstein’s ranch in New Mexico, or his residence in Florida.”

Ureña also hit back against Trump's effort to link the Clintons to Epstein's suicide, tweeting on Saturday: "Ridiculous, and of course not true — and Donald Trump knows it. Has he triggered the 25th Amendment yet?"
