You are spot on with your observation, but this time our batters have put up a brave fight and bowlers were off color during the first test. Besides, all of our batsman wanted to fight hard during the second innings, I can just sense that it will time will be different this time! Hopefully, we are in for a good test match at Mirpur!

You are right the match was lost when we lost five quick wickets during the second innings, but the sensible batting by Tamim, Riyad, Junaid, Mushy and Naeem during this test match will give the team a lot of confidence. It also sets a precedent for the team that if they fight hard as a team, they can really push the opposition... You literally see the self belief of the team growing. Lastly, most of the innings by our batter were very hard fought, and they really tried their best to stay at the wicket.

Poor Mushy, he has a jinx in the 90s, I hope that he will be very careful when ever he hits the 90's again whether in tests or ODIs. anyhow, he showed a lot of guts for a schoolboy fighting against these steely Brits.

This was a good showing by BD against these pesty Brits. Good fightback, and I am sure that the Brits would not look down upon them when they tour England, not like 2005. They did very well to avoid being beaten by 300 runs, and the Brits would have been smug enough to say that they beat BD by an innings, but that was denied them.
Anyhow, in the second test, I hope BD does not allow England to score another 600 runs in one innings, they have restricted better teams than England in the their innings.
Bowling and fielding is a big problem for BD at the moment.
I will not comment on batting, but there are quite a few players who owes BD big scores in the next match.

মুশফিকের শতক মিসের আফসোসটা থেকে গেলো।
সবমিলিয়ে ৩টা শতক মিস। তামিমের ১ম ইনিংসে মুশফিকের দুই ইনিংসেই।

Can we get out of the loosing cycle in 2010? We lost to India, Srilanka, Newzealand, England in every single match so far... I had high hopes against a weakened England side at home, but we were whitewashed in ODI 3-0 and now a 180+ runs loss in first test.

We have been playing test for 10 years now, but looks like we are still only competitive against Zimbabwe, Kenya or second strong WI.

Actually, the match might have been lost when they scored 600. There was no coming back from there - we can't make 600 or anything close when most of the top order doesn't score most of the time.

Better performance in 5th day specially in first session. But it could be better. Mushfiq was looking good and then he suicided. Anyway lets look forward. Hope players have learnt something (Shakib... if you win toss in test choose bat...Zunaid got form... Tamim is consistent... Naeem showed his capability...Mushy was good with batting... we need a better keeper though... Aftab showed some promises...Imrul entertained with circus... All our bowlers need to improve... And for that we have to bat first so that we are not tired during bowling and fielding...)

Mushfiqur should have scored his 100 in the 2nd inning. However, he succumbed to an impetuous shot after being patient for such a long time. Nonetheless, I think that he is our 2nd best batsman right now.

He is extremely nervous in the 90s. Something that will get better or worse depending on how many centuries he gets or doesnt get

He also missed his ODI ton against ZIM.
He must have had this 'nervous nineties'
